Thank you so much for the lovely compliments about my new skirts. I am loving them and really loved making them. Here is number three, a linen blend fabric. I know I need a beige shirt to go with it but I don't have one so you will have to settle for the obligatory white T-shirt for now.
Look my seams match!
Little Buddy and I went out Sunday morning and bought a little more fabric. I had to go get a plant stand and there was one on sale at Joann's so off we went. The fabric was also on sale and well I could not stop sewing (you do know I can be a wee bit obsessive) . I washed the fabrics right away, tossed them in the dryer, and was ready to cut them out and sew while little one had his nap. I chose the same skirt without the contrasting border just to change it up a bit. We had a good long walk outside with the walker before lunch so he would be really tired and sleep a LONG time. It worked, I got them both finished during the afternoon.
I found this fabric in the quilting section, with a 50% off coupon, and only needing to purchase a yard and a half of fabric, it was steal to make.
This fabric was already 40% off and was located in the kids section, perfect for summer I'd say.
Okay no more skirt pictures I promise. I have put my sewing machines away because I have a new toy I am going to set up on my work table, I will blog about it soon, an early birthday present for myself, hooray!
Just in case you are having a dull Tuesday, here are some pictures of Little Buddy to put a smile on your face.
There, I bet you are smiling now aren't you?
You were so right I was smiling, what is it about children that always make you smile? The skirts are looking brilliant, I particularly liked the first one with the border. You could wear that anywhere. Have a great week.
