This gorgeous, wonderful, sweet and shy young man of mine graduated from high school today.
It has been quite a week. Here we are at his Medical Magnet Senior Ceremony this past Friday evening. He is just such a great young man.
And here we are this morning at 7:45 at Tropicana Filed where The Rays play baseball.
This photo is from the Jumbo-tron where each and every senior had their picture posted with the principal of the high school. It is good they had that on because we were pretty far up in the stands.
I am so proud of him. He is such a wonderful guy, quiet and steady. He has been through a lot and I am just so proud of him graduating with good marks and plans to attend college. A college 4 hours away from me, that I am still coming to terms with.
I absolutely adore him and I am already missing him and he hasn't even gone yet!!! You know how I am with my boys, I don't feel okay unless we are all under one roof. I want you to know it is a rare day I allow my photo to be taken, but it is a special day so I thought I would include photos of us. He warms my heart.
Mr. 18 you have one very proud Mother. I love the young man you are turning into, and I am so excited about the path you will take. College is the best time of your life, well maybe the most jam packed, fun time of your life. I trust you will be careful and have fun, oh and don't forget to study! You are loved beyond measure, you are adored and you will be missed. You are perfect just the way you are, don't ever forget that.
Many, many congrats!!
ReplyDeleteHope you all enjoy the summer before college begins.

It is such a proud moment for sure! Mr 18 is a handsome guy and I know you are a proud Mom and so you should be! Congrats! I know how hard it is to let them go...but someday you get Grandkids (does that help??)

*C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S*!* to your wonderful son! You're all beautiful. I remember when my youngest drove off in his VW Bus from Oregon to his college in Tennessee. He was so full of adventure and bravado! I'm so proud of him - he is now a great husband and father to my grandsons. You have so much joy ahead of you. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll add just one more thing to your advice ---- "Congrats Mr. 18 .......call your Mom once in awhile. She worries, you know."
ReplyDeleteI hope Mr. 18 has a wonderful summer and just the most wonderful time in his new endeavor. I know he will be a wonderful, successful man. Just look who his Mom and Dad are! :-)
What a wonderful moment. Congratulations to all of you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on raising such a fine young man. You look great in your pictures. Beaming with pride!

Congratulations to your wonderful son. And congratulations to you, a deservedly proud mom. The pictures of you together are lovely!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mr 18,! He is a handsome young man and he sure looks like his pretty mom. It's lovely to see you! All these milestones as our kids grow up...sigh. You will sure miss him lots I can tell.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a wonderful occasion when they graduate from High School to go on to a new adventure in their life. We can only pray that they use common sense when traveling this new path. It is hard on parents when they leave the nest so to say. I have been there and done that. Congratulations to Mr. 15. Have a wonderful day and enjoy every minute the kids are around because they will soon leave the nest. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend. Shirley
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome boy he is, and the photos of him and you and him and his dad are absolutely lovely. You should have your photo taken more (not to post, but just to keep for your family). I'm guilty of almost never being in photos, mostly because I'm the photographer around here, but I often wish there were more pictures of me. I'm sending my biggest congratulations to Mr 18. I'm sure he'll have a wonderful time at college, although I do know how very hard it will be for you. He is at that fantastic age where the world is his oyster. So many possibilities, so many opportunities. Wonderful. Sending you a cyber hug Meredith. CJ xx

Congratulations Meredith! You have raised two fine young men to be proud of. I truly understand how you feel about them all being so far away. It's hard for us Mama's sometimes. Your little guy will be keeping you on your toes though. :-). The pictures of you and your husband with Mr. 21 are priceless. I know you'll cherish these moments.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Wow, congratulations, to both of you! No wonder you're proud! xx
ReplyDeleteOh I do understand about that "under the same roof" thing. Son #1 nearly killed me (mostly because he went in the Army and I knew what that meant...and it did...and then I got to be in a self induced coma for a year while he was in the desert), and then Son #2 left and I died all over again. Now its going on two years they've been gone completely from home, in their own places paying their own bills doing their own things. Its never really the same, but I promise, after a while you'll get used to it. Now, when Son #1 comes home from Texas to visit, after about a week, I'm pretty much ready for him to go home now. :) LOL. Son #2 lives close by, so he stops and eats now and then (just like Raymond). And you have little buddy to keep you busy and smiling. After a while, I stopped cying "they don't need me anymore!" and realized, they'll always need me. So will yours. :) NOBODY can take mama's place. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! thanks for sharing with us-hugs
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mr. 18. It is such an exciting time. I know that all of you will miss him so much. What a wonderful opportunity for him. Our oldest grandson graduates on Sunday. How do these things happen so quickly?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing these pictures with us. Each one gives me a very warm and happy glow.
With love, Ellen.
The hugest congratulations to Mr 18 & to you for bringing him up so well. My son had the time of his life at uni & graduates next month. I would pay several times over for him to have that time again. He was a 3 &1/2 hour drive away & ahem has applied for a job that is a 3 & 1/2 hour flight away now. It's what you bring them up for though, take care xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture of you and your son!
ReplyDeleteExciting times ahead. You take a great photo Meredith, I often wonder why you don't model your beautiful makes. Jo x

ReplyDeleteLIl buddy will miss him terribly IM sure. Max too.
YOU Look beautiful!
Oh I love the pictures! It's hard to let them go,especially the boys for some reason. Four hours away isn't too bad, my son is 6 hours away and he still manages a road trip home in between holidays. I know I cried like a baby after dropping him off at his dorm.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the summer with him before he leaves!
How lovely Meredith, congratulations to Mr 18! Super photos. My younger son left for Uni this year (both gne now) and I miss him terribly, he is such a happy person to have round the house - I can sympathize with how you are feeling. Hugs
