Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. I love the fun, spookiness of it. I love that it is a creative holiday without all the fuss of gifts. I have really toned down my decorating for this holiday over the years, I used to go wild when my older kids were little. Little Buddy didn't even notice any of the decorations I put up this year, he is such a male! Since I am completely running on empty right now I thought I would share just a bit of the Halloween fun, because frankly after working and tending to my Dad this week I have nothing else to share. I have only managed two rows a night on my sweater, and frankly that has been a miracle.
I bet you can tell which decoration is my favorite!
I am attending a workshop for my work this weekend so I will be out of blogging commission. Have a great weekend.
It's nice to change things up a little bit to remind you of the time of year, whatever the season or celebration. I don't mind doing a little decorating for the holidays but we don't do much gift giving anymore. Lord knows we've all got more than we really need as it is. I put a few little pumpkin related stuff out but that's about it so far. Hope you have a successful workshop. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteToo, cute. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've seen my autumn decorations. Not much there, but my favorite of yours by far is the last one. I'm betting it's yours too. :-) I'm keeping all of you in my prayers, especially your Dad, you and Claudia. Stressful times and adding a toddler into the mix, well, I don't know how you're doing it all dear Meredith.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I love your witches! And of course your knitting mummy.. and big huge spiders! I need to get my stuff out. Right now I just have fallish stuff. Have a restful weekend! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I haven't bothered with Halloween as we won't be here this year. I have put some nice Autumn décor pieces out instead. Love your display, have a great weekend. Hope your Dad will be on the mend soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your witches! I agree, it is a fun holiday. I loved putting together costumes for my kids. They never had store bought, and I didn't sew elaborate costumes. My daughter won a costume contest when she was 4 wearing a black trash bag as a witch. She was the cutest little witch. Now they all want store-bought costumes, at least my granddaughters do. Hope your dad is doing better...it's very hard to have an aging parent to care for as well as a job and family. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHope you can enjoy a bit of Halloween fun!
ReplyDeleteLittle buddy is such a sweetie :-)...
Best wishes and good health for your dad.
Big hugs, Mirjam.
You have a good conference. I bought my mother's staff a Halloween plastic pumpkin and I will bring it to the nursing home. The staff has a thankless and very difficult set of daily tasks.
ReplyDeleteIm glad you love Halloween. I DO TOO.
Fireman is carving a pumpkin right now for practice.
I'll send Lil buddy a picture or two
Two rows a night. Whoooo! Rome wasn't built in a day. Love and positive thoughts to you. Don't reply Meredith, you are a busy person! Jo x
ReplyDeleteLove you sister! Have fun at your workshop this weekend and give my Little Z a hug and a kiss.

The knitting mummy is too funny, but I love how you placed the big spider on the light fixture!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that last one, superb! I hope things with your dad are better soon. Sorry you have to work this weekend, I hope you have some other time off in lieu. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, Meredith.

Love your decorations! I don't do much for Halloween these days and with the baby crawling now I'm busy taking things off the floor!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
so cute..love seeing all the decorations..
ReplyDeleteGosh Meredith, I finally caught up with your recent posts. You sure have a full plate, and yet you managed to add a dose of holiday spirit.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Love the knitting mummy :)
The books look good, I could probably use one or two of them. It's tough taking care of sick parents (my Mom has 2 more weeks of rehab), and I get where your coming from. Hang in there, I'm thinking of you!
Yes, I can tell you love Halloween. Such great decorations. I bet Little Buddy did notice them. What is he going to be for Halloween? Be sure and let us see photos.

My youngest daughter is attending a conference for nurses this weekend...it must be the season for medical conferences :) I hope you are able to get some rest and recharging time in the midst of attending your conference, Meredith. xx
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is scary! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the decorations, especially the huge spiders! Take care and hope you find a bit of time for yourself to recharge your batteries. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCaz xx
What fun decorations - love the spiders. Halloween is a great celebration.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are awesome - especially the last one! :D
ReplyDeleteWish I could send you some energy but I'm all out. Hang in there and eventually things will ease up. Hope you have a good weekend away and some rest time, Mere. Hugs to you.
Hi Meredith, I love your decorations! The last one is definitely my favorite too, so funny. I hope you're having a good weekend, take care.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Halloween decor going on at your house. I love the last one as well and am especially fond of the spiders.
ReplyDeleteI do hope your conference is worthwhile. Sending good thoughts your way and hoping that your dad is doing better.
Fun decorations, especially the mummy and spiders. We have lots of real ones around here..... Hope your conference was worth the time spent and that your dad is doing lots better!
ReplyDeleteLove your decorations. I have only bought a pumpkin so far. As you say when the children were small I did so much more but now they are young adults it is so different.

Ohhh goodness!!! Nice collection of Witches, but especially like your huge spiders!!! I'm shocked that Buddy didn't notice your decorations!!!
ReplyDeleteSpider on the ceiling light is my favorite!!
Just awesome!
ReplyDeleteBoo Meredith, you did a great job decorating! Love your spookiness, nice that LB is not scared and in fact doesn't notice hahaha male indeed!
ReplyDeleteHave a good workshop week, xoxoRobin
Your decorations are excellent. I'm afraid Halloween is my least favourite holiday.
ReplyDeleteFun decorations! Earlier this month I was more excited about Halloween than my son. It seems we have now switched it up. I would love to get some giant spiders since he is scared of the real kind. Does that make me a mean mom? heh.
ReplyDeleteLove your decorations. We are busy making ours as it's not much celebrated here and thus difficult to find things in the shops. What is little Buddy dressing up as?
ReplyDeleteI seem to have missed some of your posts so I am not sure what has been happening with your dad but hope everything is ok there. Your home looks lovely :-) I used to be like you and dress the house when my boys were young but last year was the first year I didn't do it or have a pumpkin outside to invite others to knock at my door Maybe when if I get grand children I will do it again then. Have a lovely week, dee x
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations, especially the silver haired witch, looks lovely! : )
ReplyDeleteSeriously, that is my favorite Halloween decoration of all time!
ReplyDeleteHope you get some recharge time!
HI Meredith, thinking of you this week Love Jo xx
ReplyDeleteHey Meredith, also thinking of you and Claudia and your families this week. Huge Hugs. xxx
ReplyDeleteIt seemed better to apphend my delight in the little chaps Halloween costume to this post. He must have so enjoyed seeing all these decorations.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you all x
