Little Buddy says thanks.......

Little Buddy and I would like to thank each and every one of you for the wonderful birthday wishes.  I know he feels all of your love out there in blogland, I know I sure do.

We went to the beach early on Saturday to celebrate his adoption day anniversary.  It is a bit of a trick getting Little Buddy, a chair and beach bag to the beach all by myself but I can still manage.  There are no walkers that work on the beach so I have to carry him and as long as he does not gain a lot more weight I can do it by myself for a while longer.  We had a grand time and just in case your forgot the last photo tells you exactly how old he is.

Hope you are having a great week.

  10. I'm sure that ocean air and the sand and the water do much good for both of you. I venture to the beach myself today but didn't last very long since it is 120 F. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  11. I think you need one of those lightweight plastic toboggan slides. Load it up and pull LB and his beach gear across the sand! Sand Sledding--sounds like a good way to go.

Wonderful pix. Being Five looks grand.

  15. His adoption anniversary is a special day, he does not I'm sure totally realize that right now but he will when he's older. What a special family he has been included in.

What a happy, smiley day at the beach. Memories to be locked away.

  18. Thank you for the gorgeous photos that have really brightened my day. Ohh that smile, Little Buddy's joy is infectious. I'm not sure if this will be of any help Meredith but tennis balls cut with a cross and pushed onto the end of my crutches enable me to go on the beach. Sounds crazy but it works. It's probably not practical for Little Buddy's sticks at the moment but as he gets bigger, stronger and using different aids it may be worth a thought.

  26. Too cute!!Could you maybe pull him in a sled? Dave uses the sled (a cheap plastic one) when he takes his kids to the sand dune and you often see people pulling their cooler on one when they pass us on the beach. No sleds in Florida but I could send you one when they are in the stores again. Let me know. Love you and Little Buddy,
    Eileen

  27. I agree with the sled idea! That would be easier on your arms and back.
That kid is such a character. The first picture says it all :)

  28. Whee! Happy B-day Little Buddy! (Plus your post makes me remember all the times I ended up carrying my then little one in one arm and his tricycle in the other, all the way back home because of whatever crazy reason he was unable or unwilling to "drive.") Ugh!
