Another week has flown by and I have to admit I am a bit tired. It all started with a trip to the zoo last weekend with Little Buddy. You can't tell from any of these photos but he actually had a good time. He loves the rides but covers his ears before they start because the noise startles him. After they get going he is all smiles, but you could never tell from these photos! They make me laugh.
We saw a few giraffes, zebras, an elephant that went down to the pond and had a drink with his trunk and pygmy hippos! The baby was born this past December. She was running around everywhere while her Mom stood there eating. I bet Mom had her eye on her even if it didn't look like she was paying attention.
Little Buddy has been battling an eye infection this week. I will spare you the gross photos. The doctor thinks an eyelid follicle got infected. He looks like he has been in a barroom brawl, and lost I might add. Today he gets picked up from school early so we can finally get more Botox shots for his right leg. It won't be a fun experience but it will be worth it once that hip relaxes a bit. He is growing which is so much harder with a little person with Cerebral Palsy, it takes much longer for their muscles to adapt to the bone lengthening as it grows. Hopefully these shots will help me as I am stretching him out.
The boys are growing like crazy. I can't believe how big they are now. I have had a very busy work week so my time with them has been limited. But each time I see them it seems they have grown a few inches in length and height and of course gained some weight. They will be 4 months old tomorrow. We have had Hank 6 weeks, and Bear 4.
Have you been watching the Olympic's? I would love to say I have but work has had me much too busy this week. I have not even played with yarn since last Sunday! I hope to rectify that tonight as I snuggle one little boy with a swollen eye and possible sensitive leg while trying to keep the two furry boys in check.
Hope you all had a good week, I'll catch up with all of you as soon as I can.
Your fur kids sure are cute and I can see how they've grown. I'm glad they have different noses or you'd have trouble telling them apart! I got a kick out of Little Buddy on the rides.. I'm glad he had fun even though the loud noises annoyed him! I hope his shot doesn't upset him too much. I do hope you get to chill out over the weekend.. you deserve some down time. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLook at those fluffy puppers!!!! I want to scoop them up and give them the biggest hug ever.
ReplyDeleteI hope Little Buddy's eye is on the mend. Playing chase with puppies while being a nurse can't be much fun.
Hugs Meredith. You had a too full week. The puppies now look like twins, they have grown so much. Hugs for Buddy having to go through not comfortable stuff - eye infection plus the shots. Snuggling with Buddy and the furry boys will be the best part of the day I am guessing.

What a brilliant zoo, looks like great fun, if a little loud! Your pups are adorable though not quite as cute as little Buddy xx
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy girl. Hope little Buddy is better soon. That the shots go well. The two furry creatures are too darn cute. Enjoy your snuggle time this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely weekend and able to relax with a yarn project. Those beautiful puppies are growing so quickly and are adorable, they are so much fun at that age. Hope all goes well for Little Buddy with the injections, poor little thing has such a lot to put up with and yet seems to take it all in his stride, a real credit to you.
ReplyDeleteWow, those puppies have grown a lot since I last looked at your blog! We've been in CA where it was unusually chilly and came home to snow here. As always I love your LB photos; I also agree that someone must have fast forwarded the calendar along with every week since the first of the year!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with Little Buddy's injections and that it makes things easier for him. You have reminded me of the zoo I used to take mine to when we used to live in the city, they had pigmy hippos as well. There is so much dog on that sofa I thought you had an extra one! I remember Bertie growing very fast when he was little. They look so adorable together, but I bet they're a handful. Bertie had a big wrestle with his bestie at lunchtime so he's blissfully asleep now. That's blissful for both of us I might add. I hope you and yours have a lovely weekend. We are in the grip of a cold snap here, ice every morning and bright chilly days, so I'm envying you your Florida warmth. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I saw that first picture of the puppies and thought nothing could be cuter than that. I want to give them each a big hug. But then I scrolled down and there was little Buddy. He is so cute. Covering his ears. Oh my goodness! I’m glad he does enjoy the rides once they start going though. Praying for an easy time when he gets his shot and it does the job it’s supposed to. I hope you get to relax a bit this weekend Meredith.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always, Betsy
hi Meredith ~ I didn't realize how much catching up I had to do until I saw photos of your two sweet pups :-D Hank and Bear are adorable {love their names too}.
ReplyDeleteHugs to sweet Buddy x
Have a great weekend Meredith!
I understand Little Buddy putting his hands over his ears. My poor husband tries to warn me before he coughs or sneezes so that I can cover my ears in time.
ReplyDeleteThe dogs are getting so big!
I hope you are able to have a relaxing weekend to regather your strength ❤
I hate sudden noises too. Haven't been to the zoo in forever. Your pups won't be puppies much longer. I sympathize with Buddy, I hate eye infections.
ReplyDeleteArh such cuteness, the puppies look all fluffy and adorable. Glad Little Buddy had fun once he got over the noise. I hope you have some relaxation this weekend, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteI hope LB's eye is on the mend now.
ReplyDeleteHe is so lucky his mom understands his CP so well.
And, yes, those boys are growing like weeds! I can't imagine how much energy they have.
Do find some time for yourself and yarn.
Those two pup look so adorable! I hope all went well with Little Buddy’s injections. I also hope you get to have some yarn therapy this weekend. You definitely deserve it!
ReplyDeleteWe especially enjoyed watching the amazing Olympic figure skating performances this week after several medical appointments. Sorry that LB has had some miseries this week...I have been known to cover my ears when I have been having noisy fun, too :-) Hoping Hank and Bear do there best to let you enjoy some stitching time! xx
ReplyDeleteI can really see that the pups have grown!!! Buddy does look like he had fun and is figuring out how to cope with the 'startles' of life!
ReplyDelete(My granddaughter had to have botox shots every 6 months for several years-kids weather it pretty well! Hang in there!)
ALL of your boys are getting so big! (And even cuter).
ReplyDeleteThose pups are just adorable! Love that picture. Sorry to hear Buddy's having some problems....hope it's all better soon. Miss that smile!
ReplyDeleteYour furry boys are growing and so is Little Buddy. I haven't seen much of the Olympics but some ice skating. I'm hoping to snuggle up with my girls (Sara and Scout) today!
ReplyDeleteI HATE loud noises! and loud music too for that matter. every restaurant in this town blares the music so loud you can't talk over it. the days of 'background' music are over.
ReplyDeletepeople just yell louder to be heard. so eating out is a treatment not a treat! LOL!
and bless him. Little Buddy with Big Courage.
and you dear heart. rest when you can. xo
How wonderful! I thought my daughter was too sensitive when she was little, because she also covered her ears at those rides! But actually they are right because it's a big noise, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteHank and Bear look just too cute in the couch! So lovely to see how they are good friends together :-)
Take care and have a great Sunday,
Sigrid
Hey be careful Meredith those puppy pictures are getting cuter than Little buddy!! Hope work settles down for you next week and enjoy your yarn moments over the weekend. Jo xx
ReplyDeletePoor Lil Buddy and the eye problems. He is so so blessed to have his Momma be YOU!!! Haven't heard about botox for cp. Interesting. The puppies are so adorable. I can imagine you have not had time to play with yarn. You work, you have 2 pups and a growing child in the house! You rock it Mere. Here's wishing you some quiet time soon
ReplyDeleteSending good wishes to Little Buddy. Shots aren't fun for anyone, but I suppose they are important. I hope it helps his hip get more range of motion.
ReplyDeleteHugs to him ------ those PUPS are SO sweet looking. I bet they are just as soft as a Beanie Baby.
Nice to get a glimpse of your week, Meredith. I've been watching the Olympics in the evenings after the work is done. Otherwise it's been a mad week of kids' activities and head down campaigning. I hope I can get a blog post out soon! I don't know how you do it so consistently. Your bundles of fluffy fun are so cute. I'm sure they are so much happier together than apart. You are so caring to take them both on. As for your big boys, I am not sure when they stop growing - boys seem to keep growing into their twenties. No surprise I suppose since they will keep eating! Teenage boys have bottomless pits for stomachs, don't you think? I hope Little Buddy is feeling much better soon. I wonder how Hank and Bear treat him when he is poorly. Do they sense it and want to snuggle or are they too busy getting up to puppy tricks together? Wishing you all a good week to come xx
ReplyDeleteAw Hank and Bear are so adorable! I hope Buddy's eye infection has gone away and he is doing better. Looks like you had a fun day at the zoo!
ReplyDeletebusy and fun week for you! Your dogs are adorable and glad LB enjoys his train ride in spite of the noise. Would ear plugs help him with the noise? I've not watched alot of Olympics lately but I do enjoy them. Maybe I can find some on tonight while folding a few loads of laundry. Hope LB is feeling better and have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are natural posers. I hope you show them the photos! At least Buddy is happy when the rides start. Our daughter used to put up her arms for us to take her out of them. It turns out she thought the rides were going to take her away from us. Oh dear, cruel parents.
ReplyDeleteI hope LB had a great time at the zoo. Poor baby for having to get Botox shots, but I know it's for the best. I did watch some of the Olympics; mainly the skating. Love your pups!
ReplyDeleteOh, just look at Little Buddy in that train! I love that photo so much!
ReplyDeleteAndrea
So funny when kids have a 'thing' that they do and then they're all good. Lovely photos making beautiful memories.
