Happy Halloween a bit late..............

A big hello from George and Mama Pig from the wonderful Peppa Pig show.  We had a great time trick or treating last night in the 92 degree heat.  I have to say George did a great job walking until we were almost home, Mama Pig had to carry him the last three houses.  There were not many other children around so George got a lot of candy as people were giving him a handful at each house.  Still for this little one it is about the magic of dressing up to be one of your favorite characters not so much the candy.  He is still very innocent, well innocent for a typical eight year old.  He had a whole bunch of people to walk with him, Mama Pig, Dad, his friend Chuck, the Aunts and big brother and his girlfriend.  Everyone had to wear a pig nose to make it more fun.  Even though we were sweating like crazy this little pig had a good time.

And a special shout out to a wonderful big brother who shared his 26 birthday by walking a little pig around the neighborhood.  Mr. 26 is really a wonderful young man and I am so, so proud of him.

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.

  4. Sounds like my neighborhood---not a lot of kids so everyone gets handsful! Looks like a good costume for a hot evening (except for the noses!).

  5. I love those piggy costumes! It was almost 80 degrees here with thunderstorms so our Halloween was a bit of a washout. Tonight we have a freeze warning. Crazy.

  6. I love the love in your family. How sweet of Mr. 26 to share his birthday with a cute little pig. I can't imagine a Halloween of 92. It was 16 here and all the children were so bundled up you couldn't see the costumes.
Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog Meredith. My back seems less tender today and life goes on! :-)
    Blessings and love,

  7. What fun! (except for the heat - ugh!) Halloween was postponed here because weather was wet and cold (hard freeze last night) and there was a wind advisory.

  11. Goodness! Trick or Treat here was almost canceled due to high winds, rain, and temperatures in the 40s and dropping. What a contrast.

I love the Family Approach to trick or treat! It certainly made it more fun.

  12. I always find your posts inspiring and wonderful.
but the love and happiness of all in your home made this one just SHINE!
I also can't imagine Halloween at 92 degrees. I can't take that heat.
but I salute all of you in making sure adorable Little Buddy had a great time.
BLESS his innocence! so rare and delightful these days! XOXO

  13. How cute you all were! I can't imagine trick-or-treating in 92 degree heat, as we had the total opposite here with a snowstorm! That resulted in ZERO trick-or-treaters at my door, which was really disappointing. I love seeing all the kids dressed up and having fun. Our village is having a second date tomorrow, Sunday, but I don't know if I'm going to be home. In the meantime, somehow most of the little Snickers bars have disappeared. ;-)

Happy birthday to Mr 26! What a handsome young man.

    xoxo
