Mom is really busy right now, she said something about evaluating and then writing up those evaluations for preemie twins, whatever that means. She has been at work for long hours and as soon as she gets home and Little Buddy is put down to bed she sits at the computer a long time, Twins? What are twins?
Anyway she got fed up with us in her office and kicked us out. Apparently we, "don't know how to behave like good little sheep and need to make better choices!" She put Fluffy in charge of us and well you know that Fluffy, she is a tough nut to crack, and catches us before we can cause trouble.
Fluffy found us in Mom's crochet basket. She was not happy, she knows Mom loves to crochet and knit and does not want her yarn in a big tangled mess. Mom has not been working on this because she has been so busy, we thought it might be fun to give it a try.
While Fluffy was cleaning up the yarn we ran outside. Max had the door open to bark at the pool. Fluffy caught us in the tomato plant, the other plant died and this is what is left of the second plant, but there are tomatoes so that was fun to see.
We ran as fast as we could to jump in the pool but Fluffy stopped us. She gave us a big lecture on water safety and the fact we do not know how to swim. Then she told us the water was very warm and we would felt if we jumped in and caused too much friction, what the heck is felting?
She finally got us back in the house and let us play with Little Buddy's garage. She said we had to be careful and not break anything because Little Buddy would be upset to find it broken when he got home from school.
We wanted to play with the alphabet puzzle but when we found out that M is for Monkey, and R is for Rat, but S was for shoe and not sheep we ran away.
Finally we were getting tired so Fluffy read us Alphabet Trucks, Little Buddy's favorite book. We would have much rather read a book about sheep but apparently Little Buddy likes the alphabet and trucks more than books about sheep.
We got sort of sleepy reading that boring book so Fluffy put us in Little Buddy's crib with Mickey Mouse and put us down for a nap. It was a fun morning. By the way Mom says she misses all of you and will catch up soon. By the way who are all of you?
Oh and she wanted to show you her finished table runner, which makes no sense because tables can't run, and only little sheep our size can run on the table. She said it has been packed up and shipped off to its final home. She loves making things and gets a bit grumpy when she does not have time to do that. She just keeps murmuring, "I just have to get thorough with this week, I just have to get through with this week." over and over again like she is a crazy person. Maybe by Friday afternoon she will be able to chat with all of you. Bye for now!
Oh you are some little fun sheep but don't add more troubles to your Mom's already busy schedule. The table runner is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
good lamby fun!
ReplyDeleteGlad they did not get into trouble.
love your woven pink runner.
Love your pool
You two sure are a handful for Fluffy to keep track of aren't you!!! Gosh what a lot of trouble you can get into. Now, make sure that you behave nicely because Fluffy has got enough to do looking after Buddy and your Mom has enough to do looking after Buddy and herself, so you two keep being good won't you!!! I am sure that your Mom will be feeling more relaxed once all of her work is done and then she will play with you again. In the meantime give her big hugs and tell her that the table runner is beautiful!!! xx
ReplyDeleteThose cute little lambs are adventurous! Good thing they have a caretaker! Your table runner is divine and whoever will be the recipient is lucky indeed! We're having another sunny day here at the beach. Can you believe that I slept until 11:20? Sheesh! I guess I needed it. I hope things slow down for you my friend and that you get to sleep in soon. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteBut "S" is always for sheep, surely. Love the little garage, it has brought back happy memories of my little people playing with one very similar. Oh how they loved it. Give your mom a hug from me and tell her I hope she isn't kept too busy by everything. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Those two can sure keep Fluffy on her toes can't they? I smiled my way through this entire post. So sweet and lovable. I'm praying for you this week Meredith. I know it's a tough week for you. Hopefully those preemie twins are doing well too. The table runner is gorgeous and I know will be much appreciated at it's final destination.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I love your little sheep.
ReplyDeleteI love the runner
I so agree with not getting to nurture ones creative side makes you grumpy, because one is on the go, go, go.
Take care,
Christy
Keep breathing. Nice to meet the little lambs.

What a pair of imps!! I love the table runner, it's beautiful! Hang in there buddy!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see Fluffy is earning her keep :) I had been wondering what she was up to. I didn't get a photo of it but the girls had one of their lambs strapped into the doll stroller and Rosie was taking her for a walk!
ReplyDeleteI'm at the beach Gearhart by the Sea where Tim is playing golf on three days and trying to catch fish. I went swimming for an hour at the indoor pool at the condo and can see and hear the ocean from the balcony of the condo. Wood stove, yarn, colored pencils, reading, music, ahhhhhhh :) Your table runner turned out beautifully! Bravo, and thanks for the fun post, Meredith. xx
Cute post. That table runner looks so pretty on your table with those flowers!
ReplyDeleteTell Mom to hang in there, the week is almost over. I don't know how she does it. I hope you appreciate what a great Mom you have. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable as is this post!! I needed a smile at the end of a long day and you put a big one on my face! Wishing you a wonderful Thursday friend! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteGood ol' Fluffy's keeping those little lambs in order, isn't she? Love that table runner and hoping the rest of your week flies by! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your sheep stories! Hang in there the week is almost over:)
ReplyDeleteLove that table runner!!!
Oh cute little sheep, they certainly look like a troublesome pair! x
ReplyDeleteThat was the funniest thing i’ve read in ages!!! You should write kids books! ! Picturing Max barking at the pool.....
ReplyDeleteHope you are getting through the week OK, sounds busy.
Whew! Looks like Fluffy kept them out of trouble. The table runner looks nice. Hope you are able to relax this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the lambie-pies.
ReplyDeleteAs the recipient of your runner, I have to say I'm honored and thrilled!
Love the table runner. It's really beautiful. Such fun sheep you have. Hope things settle down soon. I was in the same situation a few weeks ago but thankfully things have calmed down again - for now at least.
ReplyDeleteOh, I shudder and shriek to think of the sheep shamelessly considering the pool.
ReplyDeleteShould sheep shamble in even the shadowy end,
Surely disaster would follow.
Shout for the shepherd, shout for the sheriff,
Shelter the whole shebang.
Shield shaggy sheep into the shed, and shoo them away from all danger.
Someone is going to treasure that table runner, that's for sure. Sending you strong vibes for a restful, easy, just for you weekend.
xoxo, Ellen.
LOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGiggle, giggle. You two are cute but you better not be baa-d or you are going to get both Fluffy and mom upset. So be good little sheep and count your way to sleep. Baa...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and mischievous imagination you have! Fun post. The runner looks so nice there on the table with the pool in the background.
ReplyDeleteI hope things will slow down for you soon.

I love the adventures of the little sheep! My little one loved books about all kinds of vehicles at that age. We had a few alphabet car and truck books too.
