What could be more fun for a little boy than a plain and simple box.
Last night we had a little celebration for my SIL who has a birthday next week, my teenager who turns 18 on Friday and for his upcoming graduation before my SIL's return to Wisconsin for the summer. One present had a big box. You can imagine how fun it has been for one little boy I know.
Little Buddy making an, "O" face.
Little Buddy making a,"sad" face.
Little Buddy making a, "happy" face.
Hope you are having a happy weekend.
Is there anything cuter than a little kid in footie pajamas??? :-)
ReplyDeleteLittle buddy !! You make us all smile and brighten our day!
ReplyDeleteYou could have titled this entry: How is a little boy like a cat?
ReplyDeleteFooties Jammies! Love them and little Buddy. My kids always went for the boxes too. How fun for him. And a car in his little fist. Perfect boy picture.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Mr. 18 year old on all of his accomplishments.
Happy Sunday Meredith!
Blessings,
Betsy
I am smiling ear to ear! Love the faces and Little Buddy in a box! My Tiger loves boxes also (what kid doesn't) and hates when they eventually have to go to recycling. These photos are priceless!

Hahaha! That first picture with his legs sticking out cracked me up. Never a dull moment with that kid!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, nothing beats a cardboard box does it. Even my 11 year old still likes them. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteWe're happy out this way too, Meredith. We are headed outside soon to see if we can make some huge bubbles with the big bubble wands we found in a store at the beach. Wishing you a well paced, productive week ahead, xx
ReplyDeleteOh Lil Buddy must bbs part cat. All cats love boxes.
ReplyDeleteHis smile is contagious! How fun. What was in the LL bean box?
He is so cute. I love how they enjoy the boxes so much. Even at my kids' ages, they can still get hours of enjoyment from a cardboard box! Hope you have a great week, Meredith.
ReplyDeleteThe good stuff of childhood for sure! That is simply all it takes! His smile warmed my heart tonight friend! I hope you have a fantastic week ahead! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteLove love love LB and the fun he had with the box. All my kids and grandkids have loved a nice big box. He's such a doll and I loved seeing him in all his moods! Hug him from his Oregon friend. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL made me smile. kids are the same as cats..leave a box around and they find it :) great fun!
ReplyDeleteOh! That cuteness just made my day!
ReplyDeleteCardboard boxes are so much fun! We had one that was big enough for all four kids.... (it was from work). Happy days! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Meredith, My dad always said, "you don't have to spend a lot of money on toys, it's the boxes that will get the most use and enjoyment"! "Wise man" and I always knew it xo.
ReplyDeleteLove LB's beautiful face and cute little footies!
Love a little one in them.
Have a great week, xoRobin

ReplyDeleteSuch fun! Gotta love those boys and boxes! =D
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous pictures! Love the one of Little Buddy on his belly in the box...and his sad face cracks me up - lol. Such a character. Happy Birthday to all and Happy Graduation to your son!
ReplyDelete<3!
ReplyDeleteHappy week.:*
So cute! :) Now, if Jingles was there, she would be fighting him for the box. Ha! Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat happy face ... it lifts the heart :)
ReplyDeleteYou certainly don't need expensive toys to entertain children, just give them a box. My own girls used to play with the wrapping and boxes at Christmas rather than the gift inside. His little face lights up the room, he is such a blessing.
ReplyDeleteLB's gives such good photo shoots! What a sweetie. This bring back good childhood memories for myself. I like LB am a huge fan of the empty box and would have apartments and houses whenever my family would let me keep them. To this day, I have a harder time than I'd like to admit giving up some empty boxes, even the smaller ones. heh. shh. don't call hoarders.
ReplyDeletePRECIOUS!! He's like a little kitten playing in a box! So fun! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteHe's such a cutie, and obviously is having the time of his life in that box.
ReplyDeleteJen
He's great fun.
ReplyDeleteFrom a totally unbiased person, Little Buddy is simply ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all let me say your little guy is growing, my, my! The box, oh I know just what you mean, boys love boxes. I had one a few weeks ago from buying an item and it was shaped just like the box in your post. Holden came to spend the night and we put a pillow and afghan in it and he played for several hours, told me he was a present, lol. It makes us appreciate their ability to have a wonderful imagination. I am sorry I have not been around lately, I want to catch up on so many friend's blogs, but 2 months is a long time to read up on all these busy people. I see you have been busy with making some pretty things. You definitely have a knack for finding such interesting patterns and they always turn out great. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. Have missed you friend.
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
Little Buddy is adorable. What cute pics you shared today. I agree with the above as my cat Lilly loves to play in boxes! My best to you :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Meredith, I wondered where you'd got to and here you were all the time! I just don't know why your posts show up so erratically in my reader. Luckily, I'm quite good at detective work so I was able to track back to all the posts I've missed and have really enjoyed reading about your beautiful crochet tunics, your lovely visitors and of course, The Darling Boy in His Pyjamas! You've certainly been very busy - I don't know how you do it! xxx
ReplyDeleteLittle buddy is so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened with my 2 year old Sadie!! gave her a chalk board and she has a GREAT time playing in the box that it came in :-}}
