This is a fast post my friends because migraine number 5 hit yesterday and my eyes are still having trouble with the computer screen. I just had to show you these photos because they make me laugh out loud when I see them. This is Little Buddy on his first day of second grade. He looks so big and ready for the day. He was very, very excited to start, "sencond" grade which is how he says it. I don't correct him as he says everything almost perfectly this is a rare mispronounced word.
And the after photo........................
This is after I told him he had a word search to do with the names of the kids in his class. Apparently it was a long day!
Hoping to get back with you all in a few days.
Have a great week.
I hope he has a blast this year!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute how he pronounces second. I hope you feel better.
ReplyDeletePoor little mites enduring a whole day at school. Our little-est was so wound up after her first day last week, she woke the entire household up at 3.30 am with her mind whirring over school! It's a lot for them not to get overwhelmed by. Your little mister is looking tall!!xx Hope those migraines stay away for you, Meredith.
ReplyDeleteOh my! He looks like such a BIG boy now. Piper loved her first day of first grade on Thursday. She has a young teacher this year and she was hoping to get her.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO sorry about your migraines. I sympathize Meredith. I'm awaiting an MRI for mine. The doctor wants to rule out something serious. I'm wondering if it's a side effect of the botox injections, but he says no.
I'm praying for you my dear friend.
Blessings always,
Betsy
TALL ! Grade 2 is a great year.
ReplyDeleteHugs Meredith. Hope feeling better happens very soon.
Joy
Sencond grade? No way!! What a big boy!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the migraines. I am on number four this week myself. Ugh. I have no idea what's going on. I have NEVER had so many in a row.
School time already and Buddy a second grader? Amazing how time flies. I almost didn't recognize my grandson yesterday when we were at Phil's work picnic. I thought it was him but he's a bit taller and has lost a couple teeth and hair is wild looking! I hope Buddy has a better year in school this year and you get over those yucky headaches SOON!!! Take care!
ReplyDeleteSchool already? Summer is flying by way too fast! I hope LB has a great year. He's growing up so fast.
ReplyDeleteHope that migraine goes away quickly. Hugs to you.
What a time to celebrate-he is growing up so well! Virtual Hugs to you -- so sorry for the migraine marathon. That's rough.
ReplyDeleteDear Meredith, what a handsome young man. He certainly is growing. We still love some of those funny mispronunciations of our two children's attempts to say their own and each other's names. Arhbett for Yvette and Ampy for Anthony. Do look after yourself and I hope the migraines go away. Regards, Robyn
ReplyDeleteA word search with class names on? Now there is a new idea for a woman about to return to the classroom in September! Hope he has a great time. Jo x
ReplyDeleteI had a wonderful year in my sencond grade! he is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI've read every comment. all of you with migraines. oh my.
wondering if the change in the weather all over is part of keeping them going.
the heat here has literally been in the 100's every day for weeks.
we're a fly-over state and don't make the news. but it's BRUTAL.
no other word for it. stay strong everybody. sending BEST thoughts of healing and love to you all. bless you darling Mere and Little Buddy and all in your household. XOXO
My bleeding heart feels so bad for him. It is rather hysterical that you find it funny. GOOD FOR YOU. He will survive. He is a survivor and he will also thrive...in due time. I kind of feel like him today. A parade of guests this weekend has me so tired. Im off to the barn for our Monday classes but there is a big nap with my name on it......right after lunch.
ReplyDeleteIm praying about your migraines.
I had a migraine myself on Saturday, out of the blue. Weather-triggered, I think. Wore me out.
ReplyDeleteLB is growing so very tall that I'm surprised sencond grade can contain him! Love his flair for the Dramatic, too.
2nd Grade already!?!?!?! Great pictures. Sencond - that's a great way to say that word.
ReplyDeleteHave you looked into the ear piercing 'thing' for the migraines? Not exactly sure what gets pierced but a relative who was having almost daily, debilitating migraines got hers pierced and just celebrated a year migraine free! And she said the piercing was mostly pain free and doesn't bother her at all when she sleeps.
ReplyDeleteWishing Little Buddy a great school year!
That is great he had his first day back an he looks tired out from the busy day! Hope that he has a wonderful year in second grade :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better. Have a good year in second grade, Little Buddy. God Bless.

I'm so sorry about your migraines. I wish you could cut back on your job, I know it's stressful for you. I'm so proud of how tall and grown up he looks! What a guy! Get better.
ReplyDelete((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I hope he has a wonderful second grade xo
ReplyDeleteGrade Two already! It's a lot to adjust to, being back in the classroom full time after a summer away. I know - I'm a teacher and feel the same way about a full day at school. Our classes begin after Labour Day.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling relief from your migraines.
I am so sorry you're suffering with these migraines. Are you prone to them? Are they brought on by stress and exhaustion or food intolerances or...do you even know?
ReplyDeleteLittle Buddy looks so grown up and happy for his first day of school! Hope he has a wonderful year.
Those two photos do tell a story! I hope he has a happy year in the second grade and, I hope you are feeling better!!!!! xxxxxxx
