Nothing New

There is something special about having your dog be your best friend. When you were younger do you remember reading all those books about a boy and his dog? Well here it is. As I have said before my Max is an interesting dog. Like many dogs he thinks he is human. He is the only Golden Retriever we know of who doesn't like kids, doesn't like to swim and pouts all the time.
He loves his bigger brother and loves when he gets a bath with the hose. He will only step onto the first step of our pool. He panics in the water. He smiles when he is happy and absolutely frowns when he isn't. He hates getting his picture taken unless he is having fun with his brother.

What a very special dog to grow up with.
By the way my next door neighbor had her transplant yesterday. I went for a quick visit today and she seems to be doing well. I know it is early but I am holding onto hope that she will be okay. She didn't know I was coming so it was fun to see her with the prayer shawl I made her wrapped around her shoulders. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Glad that your friend is doing well. I'm sure the lovely caps you knitted raise her spirits.
