Hi everyone, I have missed all of you.
I have been really, really, can I say that again, really busy. My Mom is back in a rehab facility after yet another round of ER/hospital stay. Another UTI and slight pneumonia. My parents are not happy she is in rehab but it is the best for everyone. It is strange but last year at this exact time this happened. It was the first week of school, when I am crazy busy and here we go again. I was so busy last week with my Mom and Dad, work and school, plus high school swimming, and everyday life that I didn't even have time to read blogs let alone write.
I didn't even have time to knit or crochet. I think that was worse for me than anything. In times of high stress the best thing for me to do is sit down, take a few moments to center myself with some yarn in my hand. I know many of you feel the same way, it maybe yarn, quilting scrap booking, embroidery or cooking. But whatever it is, it feels like it is such a big part of you doesn't it?
I have also missed reading your blogs so much. I love to hear about your life and you projects. I love to hear about the good things so I can rejoice with you and send you positive thoughts if things just aren't right. I kind of feel like I am in high school and I am sick so I am missing out on all the fun. I feel like I am missing the little things that make you feel close to someone by reading their blog, even if that someone is across the country or across the world.
So don't give up on me. I plan on pulling myself together and getting back to things as soon as I can.
But until then I am missing you all and I am hoping you are healthy, happy and taking some time for yourself.

Hang in there. I know just how it is. Sometimes it's that little few moments with my yarn that get me through the day. Remember to breathe and know that we will all still be here. Blogland is not going anywhere and we will welcome you back when you are ready. I do the same thing to myself worrying if you will all go away when I need to take the time. Hugs, Kate
I completely understand our family comes first always. I have new fabric just sitting on the sewing table waiting for me to cut and another weekend went by and I was unable to sew. We get a lot of company during summer because we have a large yard and pool. I love having the kids over but I can't sew when they are visiting. I also watch over my parents and my husbands parents. Take all the time you need, we will be here. I only post once a week and I commute 5.5 hours a day to work, so I don't always have time either to read all the blogs.
You just take care of you..Mom's aren't aloud to get sick...LOL at least that is what I have always told my girls..Mom's don't get sick who will take care of us...
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Don't worry, all of us at blogland will be still here when you have time again, and of course your family comes first. Please be kind to yourself, and know that there are lots of positive thoughts going your way, and hoping that things become a little easier, and a lot less hectic.
And get some yarn in your hands to destress!!!!
Hi Meredith, sorry to hear of your stress and your mom's health. I'm thinking of you and sending love and prayers your way. Don't worry we will all be here when you have your time back. Do take care of you too, so you have strength to do what you need to. xoRobin❤
Thinking of you and your family and hope your mother makes a speedy recovery. We will all still be here looking forward to your next post when you have a little bit of time.
Take care and god bless you.

Dear Meredith.. take a deep breath and take 10 minutes for yourself. We love you and miss you too.. but we'll be here for you and will wait until you have time to do your blog. You're a special part of my blog circle of friends.. ((B((E((A((R(( You ))H))U))G))
I am so sorry to hear about you Mom! I'll keep your family in my prayers. Rehab is a scary word, but it's often the best place to get over he hump. Sometimes it's just too much to handle at home. Don't worry about us- we'll be here when you get back. Keeping my fingers crossed that you're able to de-stress with some yarn soon!
Hugs to you, my blog friend. I'm so sorry life is so hectic for you presently. Aging parents take such a toll on us! I dread the day that I am the one making my daughter feel stressed! I guess it's part of life's circle, but it sucks! Try to find a little time for you...it's so important to try to keep yourself bolstered mentally. If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! Sending prayers for serenity and strength...Annette
P.S. I LOVE Teresa's "bear hug" above. How cute is that?
Meredith, I hope things calm down for you soon! Try to squeeze in a little time for yourself if you can. I know it's hard. We'll be here for you when life lightens up, in the meantime, hugs to you.
Oh dear! I hope things settle down for you soon. And especially that you find a few minutes every day for some crochet or knitting. I know I feel all out of sorts if I don't fit some in every day.
Oh, I hope everything gets better soon! Hugs!
Oh sweet girl, brew a cup of tea, put a little somethin somethin in it and put your feet up. Do very nice things for yourself as you are the hinge in your world you know! So sorry things are busy and that your Mom has taken a turn. Hang in there, know it will get better but start by making it so by your will and that tea!!!! HUGS!
Oh my dear friend, of course we're not giving up on you--we're with you, and we miss you but above all we wish you weren't going through such hard times. Try to sneak in a few moments a day for yourself--even if it's just 10 or 15 minutes. It will help you stay foccused in times of trouble, and you need to stay foccused...
We're here thinking of you!

I hear you Meredith! Time is going by too fast, too busy, too much going on. Looking forward to seeing you have some time to knit and crochet and I hope I can join you! I'll be praying for your mom.
xoxo Susan
Heavens girl, you do what you must and don't give the rest of any thought. We can all relate to busy times when you don't know which way to turn or what end is up. Take time to take care of yourself too, smell a few flowers along the way. We will still be here when you get back. {{{{ HUG }}}}
Hi Meredith.
Crazy times. Hopefully things will settle down soon. A friend's mother was recently in a rehab facility for 8 weeks and then transitioned to assistive living. Not easy as the mom thinks she's moving back to her apt sometime. One day at a time, that's all we can do. It's a challenge to be in the moment when so much is happening. Your knitting and crocheting will be waiting for you!
hugs,
Beth
MY FAMOUS SAYING "WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS."
ISN'T THAT THE TRUTH, SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM, AND I HOPE YOUR DAD IS OK. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, I BRING MY CROCHETING EVERYWHERE I GO, I JUST LOVE CROCHETING. TRY AND TAKE A FEW MINUTES FOR YOURSELF, (EASIER SAID THEN DONE)....WE'LL ALL BE HERE WAITING FOR YOUR RETURN, I HAVE TO GET BACK TO BLOGGING MYSELF. TAKE CARE, RIZZI
Hi there, I just wanted to say thanks for leaving me a nice comment on my log. I'm sorry to read about your parents, and your mum in particular. It's not a nice situation to be in and it's sad when things can't be good forever. I do find crocheting very relaxing when I've had a stressful day, though it has to be the right project and one that's going well. I hope you manage to get some time for yourself soon. Best wishes,
Anne.
My dear...your words of this evening touched me so...and thank you for writing them! You always give me warm fuzzies and that's a lovely gift you have! Just wanted to tell you that! Big squeeze, Annette
