Claudia my lovely sister is hosting Reality Shot Thursday. This is where we show a bit of the reality of our lives rather than the glossy, fancy photos we love to display in blog land. Today I am sending you a shot of my garage. This is where a car should be parked. As the kitchen/laundry continues to be remodeled I have not been able to get in this section of my garage for the last three weeks.
In the big wooden crate to the right is my cook top. In the middle of the picture with the dark front is my dishwasher. Can I just tell you that I am really tired of this mess? My laundry room cabinets are in boxes in the garage, and I just found out that my counters will not be going in until the 31st. Okay now I am really getting ticked off. This whole project was supposed to be started at the end of August, and finished way, and I mean way before now. I am sick of eating out. I am sick of my laundry room being in my dining room and my kitchen in my living room in boxes. Okay the pity party is over, thanks for listening and come join the fun at Reality Shot Thursday. Maybe you can get a few things off your chest, too.

Mer, you need to link at my post, so that people can visit you.
Sorry about the mess. Soon it will all be over and your kitchen will be in.
xo
Claudia
Never mind. I did it for you.
Claudia
And I came to visit! Isn't it funny that when we are forced to eat out, it gets old? I always feel that way at the end of a vacation. Remodeling takes it's toll, but the end result will be wonderful, I'm sure. Ann
Oh No!! I hope they somehow finish earlier for your sakes!!
We had to get renovations done when my youngest was born, and it was dreadful- they were projected to be finished a couple of months before she was born, but did not get completed until she was 8 months old!!!!!!
I was so cross!
Hope all i s good with you
xx
I know how you feel! Mess seems to sneak up on me all the time and then BAM! I'm overwhelmed and annoyed with it! Hang in there!:-)
Oh, I remember that mess so well. You will be thrilled when it's all over. Got so behind today I couldn't play along with Claudia. Boo-Hoo.... Saw over on Petunia that you said you didn't have a H.L. I have been to one that opened last year by my MIL up in N.P.R. Not sure what part of TPA you are in, but it's worth a drive for ILTY. It's fun nice and not too pricey stuff to work with. Especially for kids that you need to be able to wash it. Plus, the store is awesome to hang out in for other stuff. Great holiday decorating ideas.
Wow, I feel ya on this one. That period of upheaval during a re-do is soooooo hard. Power through, my friend, your kitchen will be FAB! :)
Hi Meredith,
I hope your kitchen is finished soon. But, I must say, considering your kitchen/laundry room is "out of order" your garage looks just fine. I know you are enjoying this fall weather as much as I am. I keep sniffing the air, because it smells so lovely!
Have a great weekend,
xo Susan
I love seeing other people's messy garages -- it makes me feel so much better! I can't wait to see your kitchen re-do (and you can't wait either:) I agree that eating out gets old. We went through the same thing a couple years ago, and the best part is that I had a renewed interest in cooking once the kitchen was done. I think it really gave me a shot in the arm, after making the same thing for so many years, I was excited to try new recipes and ideas.
ACTUALLY IT LOOKS PRETTY NEAT...........BUT I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL..........WE ALL LOVE TO GO OUT AND EAT.....BUT IT DOES GET OLD.........KAREN IS RIGHT, YOU WILL BE COOKING UP A STORM IN YOUR NEW KITCHEN.....IT WILL BE ALL WORTH IT AT THE END...
GOOD REALITY SHOT.........RIZZI
Just think, it will all be over by Christmas . . . (I hope). Love, Linda
I'm sure it will all be worth it when everything is spick and span once again!
Look forward to seeing that reality shot.
