Tulip Color Inspiration

Do you remember my beautiful tulips?
Saturday I went to Joann's to get a bit of tulip inspiration yarn.
I attempted to make many different centers on my own.  I am not that savvy at crochet, so I decided to stop wasting time and go with an old stand by.
A bit of Japanese crochet flower inspiration.
A few clear beads glues in the center to add a bit of sparkle.
Five, six petal flowers hanging in my window.
Eight, nine petal flowers hanging near my kitchen table.
I will try to get a better picture when the sun is out, but for now it looks a little bit more like spring.
Happy Monday.

Meredith, these are lovely! You're right, it looks just like Spring :)
And so so well done on your first sale. Well-deserved too: you need to learn to have more faith in yourself :) Your shawls are beautiful, and I'm sure that the lucky woman it was bought for will absolutely love it.

I missed your post on your first sale, CONGRATS! Oh how thrilled you must be! I know one thing, your shawls are all handmade, and not mass-produced in some sweat shop in a foreign country. They are a labor of love for I know you also fuss over getting them "just right". What is not to love about them? I am seeing a lot of bloggers lately who are making their own crocheted flowers and doing such a marvelous job of it too. Your tulips are spectacular red and I think you captured them beautifully. We do need a bit of spring time don't we!

I would say you definitely captured the look of your pretty inspiration tulips. Hope you are having a wonderful day! Tammy P.S. My husband has been on a business trip all week and I've been happy as a clam. I feel like I am on vacation at home. Ha! He comes back tomorrow evening.

Meredith - Beautiful motifs! Yup, I'm ready for the tulips to pop out! They're one of my faves! Doesn't it drive you crazy when you KNOW what you want to do with your hook and the yarn...but it just doesn't look like what you're trying to achieve when you "freeform" it. Those that design are my true inspiration! I want to get to the point that I can do that too! Hugs, Annette
