A Wonderful Gift

Right before I left on my relaxing trip to the beach I entered a lovely giveaway from The White Bench.  Monica is a very gifted artist and photographer.  I joked with her that when I got back from my trip I fully expected for there to be a message on my blog that I had won.  Guess what?  There was!!!!!!
If you have read my blog for any length of time you know I don't win giveaways.  I jut don't, so I was just tickled to death that I won one, especially this one.
Monica lives in Italy, and her gift as an artist is so special.  Can you even imagine making your living from your art?  Or living in beautiful Italy?
Inside my package was this beautiful cloth heart with a sweet button and this little embossed ceramic circle with the word "ocean" on it.  Lovely, lovely, lovely.
Monica's work is published just about everywhere.  And to think I am the owner of this amazing watercolor, wow, it just blows my mind.  This picture is just soooooo beautiful.  The detail is gorgeous.  Thanks you so much Monica.  You just made my day.

I have been feeling a bit glum lately so this package came at just the right time.  I am still battling this cold, it is really sticking around and it feeling like any energy I can muster is quickly drained away.  I have been blowing, and blowing my nose.  And then I had a thought, last year at this time I also had a cold that would not go away.
Is it possible that the cold is there but I may also have allergies?
And if I have allergies it may be these beautiful gardenia's that are surrounding my house and inside my kitchen!
I could be making myself stay sick!!!!  With the flowers I love more than anything!!!
Bummer.

Oh wow, you lucky girl! Love the watercolor!! I should do a giveaway and do a watercolor for the prize... I think you need to get thyself to a doctor and see if you have allergies. Hope it's not the gardenias!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hurrah for prizes! Those pieces of work truly are beautiful. As for your cold/allergies, I hope you figure it out and soon get along on your way to recovery!

Anything is possible. Pollen counts are high with all the trees and flowers blooming. My best friend is in Georgia for a year and told me that everything outside of the house is covered with 1/2 inch of yellow pollen and impossible to go out and even sit by the pool. She is an outdoorsy type of girl and it is just killing her to be stuck inside. Congrats on your winning the lovely items from Italy. The water color is pretty enough for framing. Your luck has changed :)

The watercolour is lovely! Will you frame it? I wish you luck with the pollen. It would be a shame removing the gardenias but maybe worth it. Perhaps it's just the ones in the house?

My son David, who is a baker has gotten allergic to rye flour. We haven't figuered out what to do. "Fortunatelly", he is in military service and all the symptoms have gone away.

Hope you're feeling better soon (and it isn't your beautiful gardenias that cause you problems!! Their scent is divine).

Yea for you Meredith! Monica's work is stunning! My oldest son has been blowing his nose for quite some time too. I'm guessing it's not a cold if it hangs around that long. Bummer indeed! Best wishes, Tammy

Congrats you lucky lady! What a beautiful giveaway to win. I hope you're starting to feel better soon - and hopefully it's not allergies and just a lingering cold. It would be a shame to have to avoid your lovely blooms.

Have a fabulous week hon.
