A Morning Walk

Max and I were up early today.  Youngest son leaves for school at 6:04 AM.  That means I am up at 5:25, to make sure he gets up.  Neither of us are morning people.  Max isn't either.  But as soon as it got light out Max and I decided to make the most of our morning and headed out for a walk.  The temperature was just slightly cooler this morning, at least slightly cooler for Florida.  Want to join us?
The sun was just starting to come up, back-lighting the clouds.
The waning Blue Moon was still visible this morning.
Mr or Ms Alligator was out early this morning.
This bird is in this same spot every morning looking for a bit of breakfast.
This is the entrance to the back of my house for the street behind me.  It is used by everyone in my subdivision wanting a short cut home.
As I pivot around you can see the bridge to the left where the bird was looking for breakfast, Mr or Ms Alligator is down there on the right.
Max and I had a lovely time, hope you did too.  Have a great day.

I didn't used to be a morning person, but a couple of stints in the hospital one after the other took care of that, since morning rounds were about 5 a.m. and they would turn on the light directly over my head!

Since then, I've found that I love early morning. And a walk is perfect. Though if I saw an alligator, I would probably have a heart attack ...

Oh what a wonderful walk! I love it when you take photos and take us with you. :)

Max is so handsome. He just makes you want to reach out and hug his cute little butt! Please give him a hug for me. :)

Hope you get lots of time today to knit and relax.

Blessings always my friend. :)

Those early morning walks in Florida are the best. Glad you got out early and started the blood moving. Now, the two of you can rest for the remainder of the day. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Hope birdie doesn't become breakfast for Ms. or Mr. Gator. ;-)

Looks like you had a lovely walk.

Yes, I enjoyed that little walk with you. The morning light is beautiful. I cracked up at the gator. It's just whatever you get used to, isn't it? I'm sure if you saw a Longhorn Steer on your walk, you might do a double-take. Ha-ha. Max looks pleased about the walk! So sweet.

When I went out on my morning walk with the dog and my youngest boy, we saw lots of seagulls.....not quite so exciting as alligators!

That's a early start, I am normally good at getting up early and am up just after six, but the past two weeks have been a huge struggle as I've been so over-tired, maybe I should cut back on my edge of th seat evening knitting! Isn't it great getting out right at the start of the day when all is peaceful, I always feel very privilidged to capture it.

Max has a lovely face and gorgeous eyes!

I love Max! He sure is a handsome fellow. Thanks for a lovely walk. Still so hot here. And have been so busy since going back to school. Boys started yesterday. We are up at 6 am and out the door by 7 am. I am definitely not a morning person. Why does your son have to leave so early? Best wishes, Tammy

That shot of the sun behind the clouds was AWESOME! Loved the alligator, it reminded me of our 5 years in Louisiana. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I would love to be out walking early, then I would like to be out walking period. I have had severe plantar faciitis in my foot and walking right now is very painful. I am envious of everyone who walks by my house! My sister lives in Florida and still complaining about the heat but it is very muggy up here in Ohio too. It's nice you have Max to walk with!~Hugs, Patti

I hope that gator stays put! Our friends in Fort Myers talk a lot about gators too, and snakes, lol, not my cup of tea, but enjoyed your walk and Max looks like he enjoyed it too.
Thanks for taking me along.

That sunrise and the moon look awfully familiar.... :) Beautiful shot of the back-lit clouds!

Mr. M lived in Florida when he was young, and has some fun alligator-in-the-backyard stories to tell.

Thanks for letting us join you on your walk. I wish my hair looked as nice in the morning as Max's fur does.

I'm not really a morning person, but when it's too hot to get the dogs out later in the day I love an early start with them.

Max sure looks happy with his walk :D

Hello Meredith

Thanks for your lovely walk I enjoyed that and Max was good company too...he's a real handsome boy! I found the stroll by Mr/Mrs Alligator territory a bit scary but then perhaps that's a day to day occurrence for you where you live???
I'd do a flip if I saw an alligator!! LOL!

keep well

Amanda :-)

Oh what a lovely morning walk and thank you for sharing us such beautiful photos! Max is adorable! His happy face just so cute! I'm reading you now at 5:30am, and you just made me think I should have an early walk first before doing my morning exercise: running in the park.
You have a great day, too!
Hugs, LS
