I'm Missing........

I'm missing sweet little toes and cute hands.
I'm missing sweet baby sounds, snuggling, and the yummy way babies smell.
I'm missing Mr. 18 year old something fierce.  I get to see him next weekend and I can't wait.  I just want to hug the stuffing out of him, and just see his beautiful face.
I'm missing Autumn, my favorite season.  The beautiful leaves, the crisp air, the smell.......sigh.

I could only find one leaf that had changed color.
I'm missing when my boys were little and got so excited about Halloween.  When the decorations went up they were so excited!
I have decorated my whole house, and I don't think anyone noticed but me.
What Max is not missing is sweet little toes and cute little hands. Sweet happy sounds coming from a baby, or a little person snuggling with his Mom.  Now things can get back to normal.

Are you missing anything today?

Aww so sweet!

You'll get to see the awesome colors when you visit Mr. 18 next week....it seems like every day a new tree is changing colors here. :)

Max is so handsome...I love that look on his face. So sweet. Hugs to him from me. :)

Wishing you safe travels and many blessings my friend. :)

That must be so overwhelming....to hug that big man that once was your little boy.... Time does fly, doesn't it. (my cute little girls are all of a sudden 17 and 14......pfff) But then again, you were lucky to have a little one 'on loan'. I'm missing my 92 year old granny, so I'm visiting Holland, my home country soon! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, hugs, Floortje

I'm missing the girls but glad I got to see them. Can you imagine not seeing them for a year at a time? I'm sure it will stretch to 2, then 3 years later. WAH! Love your decorations.. I NOTICED! :-) Have fun visiting your boy. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I think that Max thinks you have been neglecting him, so he probably misses you. :-)

Hi Sweet Meredith, These are hard times of missing people and old times, I miss them too. I'm so excited you get to see your son next weekend! I hope you enjoy every moment and hug him to your hearts delight! Loved seeing the cute little toes and hand, but now Max can be happy, so that's a plus! Love your decorations, they look spooky and festive!

Wow, those spiders on the stairs look amazing!

I miss the little ones I used to care for ... the oldest started college this year. (Yikes!) And always my dear nieces and nephews.

Have a wonderful visit with your son. :)

Oh Meredith...... I feel for you missing your son so much! I bet you loved every minute of that baby time you had! I don't think a woman ever gets over the love of a baby. And I know what you mean about missing your children when they were small, and everything was so exciting! One day, you will relive that all with your grand kids, and it is, indeed GRAND!!
Hugs,
Kris

I'm missing my flowers which had to be cut because of Friday night's frost. Sad.

And of course, I'm missing you, sister.

Your post made me want to cry! I'm already missing the tiny little babies that came home from the hospital with me- they grow up too fast. I'm missing fall as well- It is still 88 degrees here. Lastly, I'm missing my past hobbies. I walk by my half-finished baby blankets every day, and wonder if I'll every get to finish them. I wouldn't trade a minute of sweet-baby loving, though!

As I remember it I often had to prompt my sons and husband to 'notice' decorating changes I made around them:) But I miss my sons who live closer to you than to me, Meredith. Also, as we prepare for my youngest daughter's wedding, I have felt more keenly my husband's absence, while still appreciating so many good memories of him. So glad you got to enjoy your baby friend and that you will soon visit your eldest son!!! xx from Gracie

No, right now I'm not missing one thing. Maybe the sun (but only a little bit). It's nice and cosy inside. The fire is burning, there is no schedule (vacation for one mor week), a sweater on the needles. It's a bit quiet though. You made me remember the days when my boys were busy around me ALL THE TIME. :-)

Oh, I know what you mean about decorating the house and wondering if anyone notices. I feel that way, too. But even if we just do it for ourselves, it's worth it . . . and I think it is noticed by others, even if they don't say anything.

So glad you get to see your boy soon!
