Election Night Finish

It's done!!! Well almost done.  But I am counting it as a finished project anyway, even though I am not quite sure what to do.  What, am I not making any sense at all?  This is what happens when you have been knitting, and knitting, and knitting some more, while staying up late watching the election returns.  You see my alarm goes off at 5:20 AM every weekday morning no matter how early or late I go to bed, so I am a bit hazy today.

Do you want to see?
After all that yick-yacking about gauge the joke is on me, this sweater has ended up being a bit snug.  I intend to wet it down and pull it a bit here and there to help it fit better, but not today.
And for some reason I did not put in button holes, I may or may not add buttons with a crochet loop used as the button hole.  You see I am having difficulty focusing and making a decision.
This is the Sawtelle Sweater by Berrocco, made out of Berroco remix yarn.  Loved the texture of this yarn, it knits up beautifully. It just took a long time to finish, so here is finished project 41, even though it really isn't finished!

Hope you got more sleep then I did.  And whether you were happy or upset with the results from last night, I hope our politicians can learn someway to work together.  I have loved the pictures of President Obama and Gov. Christie working together for the people of New Jersey.  Isn't that what it should be about, putting politics aside to work for the people of the country.

Have a great day, I am off to work, that should be interesting with my mind all fuzzy!

Beautiful! You knit so fast? It must be so nice to wear something you made yourself. I bet you get a lot of compliments.
I hope all goes well the next 4 years. Isn't it funny how Romney only wrote a victory speech. If that is true of course. Media can get so much wrong.
I hope your day goes well. Never fun to be tired.

Love, love that sweater, Mer. I only got a few hours of sleep, too. Feeling very tired today.

Your sweater is really cute Meredith! You are a really fast knitter! I totally agree with your analysis...everyone needs to learn to work together. Wouldn't that be wonderful for the country's sake?~Hugs, Patti

I adore your sweater! It's so neat to make something you can wear. I am getting tons of compliments on my shawl, every time I wear it someone accosts me and wants to feel it and know if I made it and what the yarn is and where they can get the pattern!

I'm sooooo happy about the election results! :-)

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Beautiful sweater. I saw some metal frogs at a knit shop that I think would look cute on your sweater. They just *pin* to each side.

I think you could probably find some at Joann's too.

I LOVE the sweater! Such a pretty grey and that green around the hem is just yummy.

Sooo glad the election is over, and I agree that everyone should now just 'play nice.'

I do like the lovely clean lines of this sweater - and I think it looks fine without buttons. You could add just a clasp of some sort for a simple closure, or let it hang open like a cardigan.

Plenty of sleep for me last night, thank you. :) But it would have been nice to sleep later anyway.

Oh how I love your sweater! It came out beautifully. Gray and green is such a lovely combination. All I want to make now is sweaters, a sweater for my Mom, a vest for my Dad and another one for hubby, and lots of sweaters/tops for myself. But actually I have just started some for myself first (I'm so selfish like that)! :)
Wishing you a happy day off!
Hugs, LS
