A sheep for Christmas

My wonderful sister Claudia sent me this fantastic sheep.  She is the creation of Marsha Fletcher of Wool-In-Legends one of a kind wool art. Isn't she adorable?  Claudia has one and featured it recently on her blog, of course as her little sister I had to have one, too.  You see I LOVE sheep.  I collect sheep or anything sheepish, so this sweet little lamb is just perfect.  Her little face is so cute and her bell, I just adore her.

Claudia also loves sheep, funny how sisters are like that, liking the same things.

The stockings are out ready for St. Nick to pay a visit.  If you do not believe in our house then Santa will pass you by.  Claudia made these for my boys right after each of them was born, she is a wonderful Aunt.

The Queen has decided to bloom just in time for Christmas.  She was more of a Thanksgiving cactus last year.  She did not grow that much this year, I made need to replant her after her blooming days are over.

Her Highness may not have as many blooms this year, I am not sure why, but she seems to be showing her age a bit.  Just like all of us I guess. Regardless of her  age I am still very proud of her.

Christmas is almost here.  All the planning and prepping will soon come to an end.  If for some reason I can not make it on the computer tomorrow I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas.  It can be a wonderful day for some, and a hard day for others.  I wish you peace, love and friendship.  I pray for those affected by tragedy and loss this year, and I pray for a peaceful 2013.  You all bless me with your friendship.  Each and every time you visit me I am thrilled and I feel a wonderful bond with you all.  Merry Christmas to you and your families.

Hi Meredith, what a nice sister to send you a little hand made sheep. I have one similar, but it's got long curly angora type wool. I might set it on my tree! Your xmas cactus can last for a LONG time! But I do recommend re-potting it, they love that. I wonder if it might be getting a tad bit too much sun? The leaves turn red when they get a lot of light. Anyhoo.. I count you as a treasured friend..

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I am very proud to have you as a friend. Thank you for all your kind comments on my blog. I CAN NOT believe that Christmas is only 2 days away! I always say I am going to get a Christmas cactus. I love them. Our Poinsettia bit the dust! Don't know why. Not crying though as they are not my favorite plant. But I do hate to see a living thing die.
That was so nice of Claudia to send you the sheep. So cute. lessing to you and your family in 2013.

The new member of your flock is precious and the socks Claudia made for the boys are as well. Thanks for sharing some views of your beautiful blooms! Did I tell you I have one lone red hollyhock bloom out in our front garden? There are buds on my red geraniums too, but I am wondering if they will bloom when our weather is so chilly...but not freezing...yet:) Blessings to you and yours, Meredith. I treasure our bloggy friendship. xx from Gracie

I love the sheep!!! And I just saw Teresa's Goat too! Love them! Have a wonderful Christmas with your family Meredith! I think most are hugging one another just a bit tighter than usual, due to the tragedies of late.
Family is what it is all about.
Merry Christmas!

What a cute little sheep. I also collect sheepskin and I have some fun ones ( not very many yet) :). It's funny I have a Christmas cactus also and it didn't bloom last year, so I added some soil to it and one week later it started booming. Yours looks glorious , have a wonderful Christmas Meredith. I too treasure your "friendship".
