Beach

Yesterday afternoon I decided on an impromptu walk on the beach.  I have been cleaning like a wild woman, using bleach and mold and mildew cleaner outside to get all the pollen and mold off my outside furniture.  They are never used at the same time, actually days apart.  But I just felt like there was too much cleaner in my system.  It is hard not to inhale it and get it all over yourself when cleaning the walkway or furniture.  I needed clean, salty air.  I needed nature to cleanse me.  Lucky Mother Nature decided to have a warmish, sunny day just for me.

This is the north end of Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida.  It is much more rustic than the south end of the island.

You can walk by people here and there, but it isn't very crowded.  The south beach is much wider and family friendly.

Look someone made a shell tree, a fun idea.

I love the shapes you find on the beach, rocks, shells, seaweed and this old mangrove tree.

Not so sure I am fond of this shape, I knew I was getting more hips, but really do I look like this?

I usually try to stay out of the intense sun after years of frying my body, so I go to the beach early in the morning, but yesterday I had other things to tend to so it was an afternoon walk for me.   It will be the last afternoon walk for a while because the sun in Florida is intense even on a cool day.

Hope you enjoyed a little beach time with me.

Have a great Monday.

Shadows lie ......we all look strangely shaped. LOL

Glad you had a nice walk. We've been "near" that beach, but never walked quite that far north.

Hope you have a good week.

I enjoyed the beach more then you know..been missing it lately. Not enough to make the 5 hour drive down...but just a steady..I miss you.

Of course at this time of year, our beach is colder, but it's still beach.

Great shots.

When I look at your shadow, I see slim legs. Lucky you! :)

What a beautiful walk on the beach - could we get some of that sunshine up here? I love the shell tree too - what a lovely idea.

Enjoy that scenery, and try not to inhale too many cleaners. :)

I know right where you were. I love that beach. In fact, I head down this Saturday for the month. I can't wait to rent a bike in Dunedin and ride out that way. Of course, we are at our usual in North Redington at the Park Circle. And I swear this time I will make it into the Lucky Dill at their new location. I'll be on the look out for you. Sure hope the weather is warming up. Scott's mom says it's been cold, but then she is talking to us up here in the Windy City. What does she know about cold.... Ciao

Hey Meredith!! Love the beach and would love to take a walk with you. I love the ocean and am definitely an ocean girl, not a lake or pond girl. Love the smell, salt air and just the feeling. Can't wait for Martha's Vineyard! So hapopy you had a nice day for an ocean walk.

I envy your being able to just take off for the beach. We live about 40 minutes from Lake Erie but it is cold and rainy and no one in their right mind would be walking any beach up there. I know what you mean about inhaling all those fumes from cleaning solutions. Years ago I about did myself in using Tylex on the basement walls. I was in a corner in a room without windows which was not smart at all. I was a much younger woman then. And yes, I can read the label where it says to use with good ventilation....musta thought I was invincible and it didn't apply to me!

I'm so jealous of you being able to walk along the beach in the sunshine. Its turned bitterly cold here in the UK and a lot of the country has had another dumping of the white stuff, x

I don't use bleach often but when I do, I get a sore throat after and feel yucky. We don't realize just how much of the cleansing stuff isn't good for us and really does get into our systems. So nice that you were able to take a walk along the beach. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
