Yarn in the mail

Could anything be more fun than getting yarn in the mail?  Well I can think of one thing, free yarn in the mail.

A few weeks ago I told you about a great yarn store I heard about from a friend, Eat.Sleep.Knit.
I placed an order for a bit of yarn and bought some of the beautiful Harmony Knitting Needles they had on sale.  With my order came a Yarn Lotto scratch off card for the chance for some prizes.  This looked very fun, so I scratched off and to my surprise I won something, well I won something pretty big.  Store credit for $100.  Really I thought this was a joke, I was just hoping for a skein of yarn.  I mailed the card in as directed and waited.  A few weeks later I went online and there in my account was $100.  I was floored!  So this past weekend I ordered my yarn, it arrived today, want to see?

I ordered 8 skeins of this beautiful Malabrigo yarn Twist, in the colorway Grapes.  I agonized over yarn choices and finally decided that this was the perfect yarn.  I have something in mind to make, but I am not going to jinx it and tell you as my knitting mojo seems to have left me.

Inside my package was another Yarn Lotto scratch off card! I won a skein of Squoosh yarn, I am so  excited.

There was also this great bumper sticker, a pen and these tiny little hanks of yarn.  Upon further investigation they are to make this tiny sweater, a free pattern for joining the Eat.Sleep.Knit  Yarnathon club.

If I did not have a favorite online yarn store before I sure do now.  I am feeling very, very fortunate to have won this wonderful prize.  If you need some yarn I hope you stop by Eat.Sleep.Knit.
I am sure you will love it as much as I do.  I hope my knitting mojo returns, I have some yarn I need to get busy with.

Wow, that's really exciting! Congratulations! I love that feeling when you win something that you never even entertained the possibility of winning. Well, you entertained it by entering the contest but it seemed like a long shot. That yarn is beautiful; purple is my favorite color and that has so many pretty tones in it. I will definitely have a look at ESK. :)
