Signs of Saturday

Signs of Saturday at my house.

Beautiful tulips on my table.

Max barking at my pool as it turns on, as he does every single day.  It is a big responsibility.

Crochet I never seem to get to anymore with Little Buddy here.

Toys everywhere.

Little Buddy's new hair cut, done by me of course.

A sneak attack on Fluffy.

Fluffy's flock has arrived  all the way in Oregon.  Check out Gracie's blog to see the smiles these little lambs brought to cute little faces.  Fluffy was very happy to see her babies arrive safe and sound.

On a sad note my husband lost his brother quite suddenly this week.  He was one of the very best men I have ever met.  He loved his family fiercely and fought Parkinson's Disease for 25 years, getting it in his very early 40's.  My husband arrived just in time to say his good byes, it was all quite unexpected, but thankfully he is in a better place and not suffering anymore.  I wish I could be up there in Wisconsin with all of the family to celebrate this wonderful man.

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday.

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your loss, these things are never easy even when you know they will be better off. Sending heaps of love and condolences your way xoxo

Condolences to your and your husband and his family on the loss of your brother in law.

Little Buddy will hopefully help keep you all busy and entertained through the period of grieving. I hadn't realised how small he is in comparison to Fluffy and then seeing fluffy beside the computer. He's got lots of room to grow and a wonderful place to do it.

Still laughing at the lack of crochet comment - I suspect your days of wandering round crocheting mug cosies all day are temporarily suspended!

Hugs to you and Little Buddy. And I can't resist, hugs to Fluffy, quite possibly, the fluffiest sheep I have ever seen.

Meredith.. you are just the sweetest most thoughtful person! How precious of you to send the new baby lambs to the girls who sent you BaaBaa. You're the best. Your little boy looks so loved and well-taken care of, you're the best mom! Dayle said he looks so happy and I said.. wouldn't you be happy if Meredith was your mom? And we both agreed, we would be. I'm sorry to hear of your bil - but glad to see he was able to have a long life. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Meredith, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother-in-law. Things like that are never easy and your family will be in my prayers. You are SO thoughtful to send Gracie's grand-girls little lambs from Fluffy Baa Baa. I could see the joy on their faces when Gracie posted. How sweet of you in the midst of all the adjusting and settling in of your new life that you thought of them. And speaking of your new life, your little Buddy looks so, so happy with you. I'm sure this was the best decision that could have been made for him and his happiness.
Blessings,
Betsy

Sorry to hear about your husband's brother, I'll be sure to keep him in my prayers.

It cracks me up about Max and the pool - what a funny pup!

And I gotta tell you, that little boy is way too cute to be allowed, if you ask me. Please give him and Max a kiss from me.

And have a wonderful weekend!

I'm so sorry to hear of your sad loss Meredith, and wish you, husband and family happy reflections on times gone by!
I had seen Gracie's lovely post and thought it just like your beautiful self to do such a sweet thing, such a sweetheart you are!
Little Buddy looks great sporting his new haircut - what a happy little blessing he is, and how fantastic that Max and he can now be full time 'buddies' - gosh, another responsibility for the wonderful Max - but he'll manage it all fine!
Your tulips are gorgeous my friend, enjoy them!
Hugs for you,
Joy xo

Oh Meredith..life is so full of comings and goings...isn't it. As you and yours feel your way through this time, you all will be much in my thoughts.

The girls are in bed now, but I know they will enjoy seeing your beautiful tulips, Max barking at the pool, and Little Buddy playing with Fluffy Baa Baa.

You may not be getting much stitching done, but you took some wonderful photos, including the one that lets us admire Little Buddy's lovely brown eyes and the handsome haircut you gave him!

Thanks for posting.
Big hugs back to you, xx

So sorry to hear of your sad loss Meredith,I'm glad your husband got there in time to say his goodbye's. Little buddy is looking well settled and he suits his new haircut. When I think of the times I cut my poor kids hair when they were growing up I could cringe I did make a mess of it sometimes. :)

:( Give your husband all my love, truly. I lost my sister suddenly 3 years ago. She was 38. I am terrified of losing my younger brother early as well. He has Friedrich ataxia and with each new problem he encounters my heart misses a beat and I have to hold back the tears. It is so very sad how life works sometimes. Just as you have a new love and life in your family you lose such a lovely life as well. My heart and thoughts are with you all xxxx

Dear friend, I am so sorry to read of the passing of your brother-in-law. My condolences to your husband and the rest of the family. Tell yourself this truth, it is only a temporary separation. That has become my mantra, it keeps me happy just knowing this and brings me joy where I use to be filled with so much sorrow. Another happy note, I see that your new addition to the family is doing well and I bet every day has become a new adventure. He looks happy and should be, you both compliment each other, and I am sure if there were anything missing in your life he is filling the void quite nicely. God Bless you.

I am so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law's passing. My uncle had Huntington's Disease which is somewhat similar. Was very sad to see him lose movement and speech over a period of time. He lived out his final years in a nursing home unable to do anything at all. And my cousin, his only son, also succumbed to the disease. I'm glad you have your little buddy there to keep you company. He sure is growing. Hugs and blessings, Tammy
