I'd like to introduce you to Old MacDonald

We all love the children's song, Old MacDonald Had A Farm.  But have you ever met the farmer himself?  Well let me introduce you.

Blog readers may I introduce you to Old MacDonald (Little Buddy).

Although I had planned to have him be a train engineer, because he is all about trains right now, the hat and whistle that was ordered over a week ago never arrived.  So as of Thursday night there had to be a quick change in plans.

Luckily for me Little Buddy didn't have a clue about the Halloween festivities he was about to attend so train engineer or farmer made no difference to him.  Quick thinking from my friend Lynda and myself, and a fast trip to the dreaded Walmart during evening rush hour traffic for green and yellow tissue paper and a flannel shirt, and we were off.

I think he was quite happy and loved being a farmer.  He loved his tractor walker, too.

He attended a parade at school and participated in lots of preschool Halloween activities (I had to miss them all boo hoo, see below).   Then after therapy and a big nap he walked around outside for a few hours visiting my direct neighbors.  It was fun for him to be out after dark.

This year we had a pathetic amount of children visit us.  Our neighborhood has changed so much the last few years.  I guess we are all getting older and the younger families have not moved back in.  I bought so much candy that did not get used. All is not lost as it will be donated to a friends church where they are preparing stockings for children in need for Christmas.

Today is all about rest, rest, and more rest.  Little Buddy passed on his little illness to me which has become a big illness.  I may have to pay a visit to the clinic today as I am not feeling well at all.  Is it humanly possible to cough up your own lung, or blow you nose off?

Thank you so much for your Birthday greetings for Mr. 21.  I am sure he celebrated in style.  I know his new, "girlfriend" was taking him out to dinner and then after he was to celebrate with friends.  I hope she knows how lucky she is, well I am a little bit biased about him now aren't I?

Have a great November 1st!  It is cold (for here) and blustery, as I said before I am staying in as much as I can.

My sweet Little Z makes the perfect Old MacDonald. Quick thinking by you and Lynda! He's adorable (a word I seem to constantly use to describe him.)

We haven't had a single trick or treater in years...I guess that's what happens when you no longer live on a street with sidewalks?

Feel better sister. Don's going through the same thing. My particular bout with it lasted way too long, with coughing being the worst part of it, for sure. Love you.

I hope you feel better soon I have coughed so much that my stomach is sore and hurts just to roll over in bed. I got put on 1000mg of antibiotic and 200mg of meds for the cough. I just thought I was dealing with my allergies. Not. I have enjoyed catching up with you this morning. My younger two grandsons have made Old Mc Donald Farm into a zoo in their son. Leave it to kids. A belated happy birthday to your son. Hugs and Prayers for a speedy recovery from Your Missouri Friend.

I'm glad he had such a good Hallowe'en, he looks so sweet as a little farmer. Sorry you're not well, I do hope it passes soon. I remember having terrible 'flu a few years ago, and the doctor came and told me I'd start to feel better in 48 hours. I'd got to the point where I that felt like the end of the world! Take it easy if you possibly can. I prescribe taking to your bed with a hot drink and a good book. CJ xx

What a wonderful costume! He does look like a little farmer! I bet that was such a treat for him to be out late. He sure has had his adventures lately. :) I hope you feel a lot better soon. There is so much going around in our area right now.

That is a PERFECT Old MacDonald costume -love the John Deere logo! He looks so serious in the first picture. We just started moving into Mandy'd new house yesterday afternoon. Then the doorbell started for trick or treaters. We had completely forgotten about Halloween. No candy. Next year she'll be prepared. There were a LOT of kids out.
I hope you feel better very soon. There's lots of nasty bugs out there right now.
Blessings always my friend,
Betsy
