Where are the slow days of Summer?

I seem to be having a difficult time adapting to my Summer schedule.  Everyone is home from school and I have changed my working hours to earlier in the day.  I now leave before Little Buddy gets up and return as he wakes up from his afternoon nap.  He is rested, full of fun and mischief and I am just plain tired by that time of day.  I am lucky I only work four full days a week!  That means come Friday I am ready for a good, long, relaxing morning.  As it is only Wednesday I still have one more day to go before I can breathe a sigh of relief.  It is going to be a bit tougher to comment on blogs during the week this Summer, there just is not enough time in the day.  I hope you understand, I will do my best to try and keep up and will visit during the weekend.  For now I leave you with photos of my little guy walking with his canes outside this past weekend.  He is not in love with them as they take much longer for him to navigate his environment.  But that is just fine because he runs with his walker and does not use the best form while doing so.  A three year old just likes to run.  And he is not any different in that desire than any other three year old.  Oops, almost four year old!   Have a good week.

Things are hoppin' here, too, and we don't have any kids at home to keep up with. LB sure has blossomed under your care! Love those crocs and that shirt! He's a real cute fellow.

I hear you. Summer for me is trying to keep an almost 11 year old pre teen girl and an almost 3 year old girl entertained every day. Try to find a little quiet time for you whereever you can.

Wow, he really is doing so well, bless him. Have a great summer with all your family. We are using the term Summer very loosely here, the time of year is Summer but certainly not the weather.

You can really see in these pictures that he is growing up. His face looks less like a toddler and more like a little boy.

Those canes are pretty snazzy, but I can see how he could zip along a bit faster with his walker.

You know every time you show his whole body I can see just how much he has grown! He is really sprouting up! What a difference! Not so evident as his sitting photos. He is doing great. He might not like the canes but I bet they really give him a work-out and are good for his balance. Workng different muscles. Can't hurt, right? He is just such a sweet looking little boy. I bet he is so glad to have his brothers home (as you are). Bet there is never a dull moment around there now! Have a great day.

He will get faster as he gets more used to them Meredith look at the determination on that little face. You need to get those guys of yours organised, make sure they have a chair and footstool ready with your favourite beverage when you get home from work and leave them a to do list so all you have to do is relax. :) xx

He truly is growing right before our eyes! Why is it that every time I see photos of him, I just get such a happy and warm feeling in my heart?
I do hope that a comfortable rhythm will soon settle in for your summer days. You have a lot to contend with each and every season. I am sending good thoughts that each day will bring peaceful and restful places and spaces to you.
With love, Ellen.

I don't know how you do even 4 full days a week! I'm glad that you are sharing again. And don't worry about answering comments. I for one think you could use some time off!

Aww! Early schedules are like late schedules trying! You're almost there for the week, it is Thursday, finally! You do what you need to do to keep yourself healthy. We will be here reading and commenting as usual. You don't have to get back to us each and everytime to have us feel the love that comes from your heart and blog so get plenty of rest on your days off! Okay? Okay! :D
Hugs always my sweet blogging sister,
Beth

LB looks like he is just full of fun! I am finally back to blogging again. I admire you for keeping yours up with all that you have to do. I long for summers the way they used to be, no work (school) and more free time. Take it a day at a time, that's what I'm trying to do. Hugs to you, Meredith.

It is hard to fit in all we want to do. Prioritize and know if you can't do it all, then do what you can. Make sure you take time to just sit, read a book, and drink some iced tea. We'll be fine if you don't comment back! :)

I hear ya! Summer is busy, I do not know, I guess all the seasons are busy. ;-) Many times I wish life would just slow down a little. But it continues to march on with me chasing behind.

Have a great summer. Enjoy your BOYS! :-)
