A birthday boy and a present, but not for the same person.....................

This gorgeous boy of mine had a birthday yesterday.  My beautiful Max is now 11, he spent much of the day on pain medication due to his bad hip, but still managed lots of smiles when I sang Happy Birthday to him.  He loves to be sung to.  Happy Birthday my sweet boy.

Little Buddy got a very special surprise treat in the mail from the amazing Kathy B.  She made these wonderful finger puppets for Little Buddy.  A monster, a princess and a bunny, check out her post for July 29 and you will see them on her blog.  Kathy B and Little Buddy have a bit of a love affair going on between the two of them.  She made him a beautiful knitted vest just after he arrived.  She sends him photos of trains, squirrels and a swimming cat, that we have to look at several times a day.  He calls the train the, "elevator train" and we have to pretend we are sitting on it all the time.  And now she has sent him these fabulous puppets.  As you can see he is having a grand time with them.

Thank you Kathy B you made Little Buddy's day!  You are so generous and thoughtful and I think Little Buddy has a bit of a crush on you!  By the way my little guy has grown a whole inch since April!  Woo Hoo we are getting there!

Have a great day.

Your Max is the same age as one of my cats, he might be getting older but woe betide any unsuspecting small rodents that are foolish enough to enter our garden!

That is such a terrific gift for LB. He looks so pleased. Bloggers really are the best!

What a lovely friend you have. She is someone very special indeed.
I cannot get over how much I adore looking at that Little Buddy. I mean, honestly, he is the most bestest and most powerfulest happy pill I could take.
He truly is a wonder cure for the gritchy, grumpy in the doldrums moods.
(Actually, today I do not have those moods. I am quite happy. He just always takes me to new and astounding heights.)
Happy birthday to the furry loved one. I hope his pain eases. I can tell that one of my Newfies struggles a bit with her back end...either hips or legs. Max, my Newf and I should get together and compare our notes on the unwanted consequences of arthritis and the dubious joys of ageing.
Love, Ellen.

Oh how nice of Kathy B! LB looks like he's enjoying the heck out of those puppets! Happy Birthday to Max! He and our Buddy dog are the same age. Our guy was born in October though. I'm making lists and packing things for our lake camping trip - yarn, candles, swim suit.. sailboat! We forgot that Dayle ran aground "saving" me last year and he has to fix a big hole. I'll miss reading you while I'm gone! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Happy Birthday to Max...he looks like a very sweet dog. Pets add so much to our lives. I am struggling with a sick 14 year old cat now, and we may have to let her go. I hope Max has many more good years.

Happy Birthday, Max! Boy, those birthdays just keep piling up. Seems like he just had one not long ago. This year has gone by so fast. I wish it would slow down a little now.

Happy birthday Max,I hope you had some treats and lots of pats.

My Mum's old dog couldn't get up and down the back steps, so the chiropractor said give her a teaspoon of gelatin powder, sprinkled in her food and in 3 weeks she was going up and down easily.....hope this helps Max....it is worth a try.

Faithful, beloved pet. How fast the time goes when it comes down to their aging. They suffer too with a lot of the things that we deal with, the arthritis and stiff joints, yet they never complain. Happy birthday Max. And look at Buddy, he has something new to entertain himself. So sweet of your friend to think of him and gift him with homemade puppets. I love the very idea of random acts of kindness and they always seem to come when we need a little up-lifting on that day.
(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
