Frost in Florida.................

We had frost this morning when I went out early to take Max outside to do his business.  We get a good frost about 2-3 times during the Winter.  It is so much fun to have the grass crunching under my feet.   I love cool weather.  Florida is so hot and humid all the time that a break in the weather is a wonderful change.  Little Buddy had on a hat and mittens today on his way to school, he kept telling me he was a snowman.

Onto other fun things.  I am loving my glittery hearts up in my window.  Yes I am the Glitter Queen.  I think my inner glitter goddess has been repressed with all the boys I have had in the house.  These are not my favorite glitter project, my autumn leaves continue to be the best, but they still add a bit of fun to my windows.

I have finally started on my weaving project.  I gave it a good 45 minutes late on Monday after work.  No three day weekend here!  I am sure I won't get back to it until this weekend, but that is life, work has a way of interfering with my hobbies.

And as for that baby blanket I am over the half way point.  I have started my fourth section of color with only two more to go.  A movie afternoon on Sunday with my friend Cathy helped.  She had a bit of skin surgery on her nose, so I took her soup and spent part of the afternoon with her.  We watched The Intern with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway, what a fun movie.  It was just the perfect movie for a windy and cold Sunday afternoon.

I am on my third 10 hour day for work so I am keeping this short and sweet.  Hope you have a great day.

Yikes! Frost in FL!!! We keep hearing of the BIG storm headed our way this weekend (eastern PA), but the forecast changes every day, so who knows? Your weaving is gorgeous Meredith - love it!!

Love the colors on your weaving.

I don't know whether we had frost this morning or not. By the time I got up at 8, it wasn't frosty.

Giroux has been out on the porch ALL morning. Apparently, this cat likes the cooler weather too!

Ah yes, the old, "work in the way of my hobbies." thing. You said it! Yet you are able to accomplish so much great stuff and still Mom the universe in glittered hearts. Pretty awesome. I have a love of sparkle and glitter too, right down to the toe nail polish. It's shameless and I'm okay with it. Love the window decorations. Wishing you a slower work pace and more time with your friends, family and fiber. All the best.

Frost is so neat to see on the ground! We are having cold sleety rain today. I'm tucked inside keeping warm and trying to get rid of this cold! Ugh! Love that you got to some weaving.

Lovely to see your frost. I like frost in the morning :-) It's also lovely to see your preparations for Valentine's Day. I'm just preparing a parcel to send my dear niece whose loves holidays of every kind.

Frost, how brilliant. Good job you have woollens to keep you warm! A movie afternoon with a friend sounds wonderful. I need one of those I think. I hope those long days end soon and you get some time for yourself. CJ xx

Is it common to have frost in Florida?
Your glittered hearts look great. I don't do much for Valentine's, other than maybe some special baking and a nice meal, but I did come across some really nice Valentine's stamps that I bought some time ago, so maybe a few cards are in order.
10 hour days? That is very long. You must be beat at the end of a day! I wish you restful nights.
Have a great rest of the week!

Hi Glitter Queen! Your heart is sparkling beautifully :) Your Florida frost is lovely. We are in for another wave of rainy weather. Your stitching is coming along nicely. I love that Little Buddy said he was a snow man :) Have sweet dreams tonight. My youngest daughter is working 4 ten hour days a week as a nurse and has started working on her Master's Degree on Fridays. Are you able to work 4 ten hour days a week and have 3 off? xx

I have been to Florida a couple of times when it has been cold but I never imagined Frost. We too have had a good frost these past few mornings but still no snow thank goodness. Take care of yourself with those long hours. Beautiful projects, I am always fascinated with weaving maybe one of these days I will give it a go.

You are such a sweet friend! I'll have to check out that movie.
I cannot imagine cold in Florida! I'm still amazed at how hot Miami was in April.
I work 10 hour days (or longer) most of the school year, so I feel your pain. The problem is that it still isn't enough time! But I don't have a Little Buddy at home to take care of, too. You have a lot on your plate.

I love frost on the grass. It is cold and rainy here so none of the beauty you found this morning. Your weaving looks nice, I really like the colours. Wishing you a peaceful end of the week. x
