Today has been a quiet day, one I needed to help deal with this headache I have. I am seeing the doctor tomorrow about all the pain I have been in lately, hoping she can refer me to someone who can help. I spent time tending to my container garden, my zucchini, herbs and tomatoes are looking healthy so far. I am still not getting my hopes up because of last years many growing issues.
I started another Hitchhiker, this one just might be for me. Made with Online Yarns, Linie 346, Arona. It is a cotton tape type yarn that is very soft. I bought one ball of on sale a few months ago. I am using size 10 needles so it should be a breeze to knit up.
My newest Lovey Lamb from the talented Alicia Paulson, has already been started. I am making it with Lion Brand Wool-Ease from Joann's. This is really soft yarn, and due to it being so thick this Lovey Lamb is going to be big. I am wondering if Little Buddy will confiscate this one, too?
Thank you for the astute readers who thought about the Japanese character Totoro when Little Buddy named my lamb. I am wondering if my babysitter showed him a photo of Totoro? I keep asking him and he says no. He certainly hasn't seen this character with me, but there is an uncanny resemblance and he is very certain this little lamb is Totoro.
This Little One told me he was not taking a nap today and you know what he was right. He chatted and played in his crib for a while so at least I could lay down with my heating pad on my neck. Oh no, he is peeking over that zebra patch of his, I better make sure he doesn't do that very often.
Today I signed a contract on my Dad's condo. It will be sold by the end of the month if all goes as planned. Not quite as much as I wanted for it but very near to what I expected. It is so permanent now, almost everything is done and he has only been gone 5 months. Now to change his address and after the sale make an appointment with the lawyer so everything can be split up, taxes paid and all of that final stuff. I am blessed to have had Claudia's support through all of this. It will be a relief to have it all finalized.
Again I have to apologize for not replying to comments made here on my blog lately. That is not really my style, but life has been busy. I think you would rather me visit with you and see how you are with the limited time I have had, at least I hope so. I am hoping to get back my commenting mojo this week.
Hope you have a wonderful week.

Uh oh .......maybe nap time is going to be a thing of a little boy's past when what you have is a BIG BOY!!!
He looks so cute looking over his patch (even though that is not a good thing). That boy just can't HELP being so cute!
Hugs and hoping you find help for your headaches. Finalizing your Dad's condo sale will give you a bit of peace.

Oh Meredith, I'm so sorry to hear that you're still suffering with migraines. Dennis used to have those often, then the doctor gave him Sumatriptan. At the first sign of one coming on he takes a pill. Seriously, he had at least 2-3 migraines every week. He calls them his miracle pills! Of course, you've probably tried medicine, but thought I would mention it anyway just in case. :-). I hate the thought of you having so much pain.
Love your little lamb...and the crocheted one too! Ha! Seriously, little Buddy looks so cute and sweet in this picture.
I can only imagine the emotional toll dealing with your Dad's estate is taking too. I'm so glad you'll be able to wrap everything up and maybe have a little less stress very soon. I'll be praying for you dear Meredith.
Blessings,
Betsy
Oh my dear friend.. I'm so sorry about your headache issues. Have your tried visualizing being on a tropical beach and watching sailboats go by? :-) I saw LB peeking over his patch in the photo and though.. uh oh.. little scamp! Another really neat HH scarf.. I do hope you keep this one! I got lots of flowers added to my blanket today. And don't worry about not responding to comments.. I have had to cut back on that too as my in-box of emails would pile up and up.. it's all good. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
All the best to you! Hugs, Regula
I hope the Dr. can help you find relief from your headaches, Meredith. I love the looks of your current projects and hope your plants thrive. Wishing you and yours peace and all the rest you need in the midst of your busy lives. Sending you lots of hugs :) xx
They have that awful period where they don't want a nap but get irritated before bedtime due to tiredness, lets hope for a short transition. He really does look cute looking over the top of the patch, bless him. Hope all goes well at the doctors and so glad your fathers estate is almost sorted. Take care.
Gosh, 5 months already. I can't believe it. Sorry to hear about the headaches. Hope you get some relief very soon. A quiet day is just what you needed.
I hope you find a solution to the miserable headaches you've been having, Meredith. I don't know how you accomplish all the things you do, and feeling unwell on top of it certainly isn't helpful. I'm glad you have been able to close the deal on your dad's place, and that your sister was able to be there with you. And it sounds like Little Buddy might be transitioning from naps to quiet times. Don't worry about not having time to reply to comments. We understand. Life has its ups and downs, it's busy times and more sane moments.
So sorry to hear that your headache problem is still with you. I hope the doctor sorts it out quickly for you. Take care of yourself. Janet. X
I was a nap resister at that age too!
hahaha.
We STILL get mail forwarded from Fireman's fathers house after 20 years. We say he's saying hello when it happens
So much going on Meredith. I hope you can get some relief for the headaches, they make everything harder. Little Buddy is getting to be such a big boy. My Tiger will be 5 in April, now how did that happen. I know closing out your Dad's estate is a hard thing, another ending. Hugs to you sweet friend.

I hope that your dr has an answer to your headaches. Maybe you are seeing her/him right now as it is Monday. I'm glad you were in your garden yesterday as that is truly therapeutic for anything that ails us.
For years I suffered with massive headaches that would last for a week or more and nothing that I tried or took would help the pain. Then I went to work for a chiropractor who discovered me scowling in pain one morning and asked what was wrong. I told him and he said he could fix it in five minutes before I left for lunch. And he did.
I have banged up my neck really good a few times and when my neck goes out, the headaches come in until my neck is returned to where it should be. My current chiropractor knows when I call it's generally for a headache and only takes a few minutes to get it fixed.
Maybe it would work for you?
Glad you enjoyed your peaceful day! I hope that you have had some help for your headache, they are so debilitating aren't they so I do hope that you will be feeling much better soon. Hopefully finalising things with your Dad's estate although very sad of course, will ease some of your tensions with being one less "job" to deal with if you know what I mean. It will be a sad ending, but I do hope the ending of the paperwork aspect will help you at least. Hugs to you and all good thoughts and love. xx
I hope your neck and head are feeling better soon, Meredith. Hopefully you get some good news from the doctor. I'm glad you're having a calm and quiet time after your visitors and fun last week. I don't reply to many of my comments, I would rather use the time to visit others' blogs. I think it's just fine if you do that too. :)
Dearest Mer, I'm sending healing vibes across that very big ocean (and a couple of small seas) to take away that awful pain you're having. I have a'no-napper' here too, even although sometimes she's falling where she stands with tiredness!! How is the wee Mister getting on with his eyepatches?
Oh golly, those headaches have to go. Having the sale finalized on your dads place will lessen the stress load . It's all the estate work and loose ends that seem endless, wears a body out. I'm amazed you are still standing buddy. lil buddy is as cute as a button, as usual!
I am so sorry about your headache pain. I've gone through periods of headaches and they can be agonizing. Exercise and meditation helped me, but those may or may not be what work for you.
My son went to his room for two hours every afternoon until kindergarten. Some days he slept; others he didn't. But I always had those two hours. I was in grad school, so they were essential!
I'm glad the end is in sight for tying up your father's estate. It is so much work!
Hope by now you've had some relief and an answer about those headaches. You are inspiring me to try a HH; I've admired that pattern forever! Hugs to you and LB!
I'm sorry you are still suffering, I hope your bit of quiet time?? is helping a little. Take care xx
I'm sorry you are still getting those awful migraines Meredith and I hope that they can sort something out for you it must be so debilitating. I'm sorry ive missed so many of your posts I'm trying to catch up now, I love that lamb it's so cute you can see how much Little Buddy loves it. It will be a relief for you when the sale is all finalised, I have yet to sell my Mum and Dads bungalow as my brother has been living in it since my Mum died 10 years ago, we are thinking of putting it on the market soon so I have it all to come to. You take care and make sure that hitchhiker is yours you deserve it. :) xxx
I hope the doctor could suggest something for your headaches, it's no fun at all being in so much pain. Bless Little Buddy giving you a little time to rest even if he'd decided that he wasn't going to nap.
I do hope you find some relief for the headaches. Migraines are tricky buggers.
That sheep does look like Totoro! That is one of my family's all time favourites.
It is nice and also sad to be finalizing your Father's estate. It is difficult to move on, and yet refreshing.
Sending you all my best.
Hi Meredith!
My name is Ginette and I live south of you in Fort Myers. I just wanted to introduce myself and say how much I've enjoyed reading your blog which I discovered by reading your sister Claudias who kept mentioning you and how darling you were so I had to jump over and read, I must say Little Buddy was the perfect hook, I just love reading about his growth and antics, along with the advantures of mothering growing boys, I can certainly relate since I have a twenty-three year old my self.
It took me a quite a few days to read all the way through your blog but I enjoyed the time and bookmarked several dates or made notes of different yarn projects since I love to knit and crochet too and like Claudia, love to quilt. You're both such wonderful and talented women, so giving and inspiring I feel blessed to have come upon your blogs.
Hope your doctor finds a reason and cure from your migrainies, I too all through my late teens and twenties suffered from horrible ones along with the vomitting and light pain, who knew having a baby in my thirties would cure them, NOT that I'm suggesting anything! But maybe like the change in my hormones when I was pregnant, your migraines are being triggered by your menopause? Whatever it is, it better go quick!
I was thrilled the your sister and brother-in-law where able to visit, we had lovely weather in Florida for them! I'm off now to read a few blogs you suggested, hope you and your family will be well!
Its a pig of a thing Migraine. I am crossing my fingers I haven't had Migraine for awhile it makes me feel so low. I never used to have and I associate it with the menopause which started some years back. I hear it can be stress induced as well so I imagine yours has been brought on due to all the unhappiness in your life recently. As a migraine sufferer I so feel for you.
I have been reading your posts during these last three weeks while I have just been lurking here on the net not finding time to post and I was impressed with little ones patches. Very creative. They are such a good idea!
Love the colour of the shawl you have on your hooks at present.
get better soon!
Amanda xx
Oh no--I hope you are feeling better. Pain is so exhausting, and life is sadly lacking a "pause" button.
Lots of hugs,
Toni
Hi Meredith, You have so much going on - I wonder whether that is contributing to your headaches. May it just be a reaction to a here and now issue and not a sign of anything chronic brewing. Good luck with treatment etc.
Like you, I have been busy with non-blogging areas of life and I must apologise for having missed posts but I intend to catch up with all of your news before the weekend's out.
Happy times with your sister. Some brightness during a difficult time. May your heart be refreshed.
Take care xx
