Family and friends.......

Life has been very fun lately.  My sister Claudia and her husband Don are here visiting from New York.  I could not be happier.  There is only one person happier than me that they are visiting and that is Little Buddy.  He is beside himself!  And he finally got to meet his Uncle Don.  I think they are both a bit in love with each other.  We have been hanging out and going on small adventures, really just enjoying our time together.

Look who we met up with in Dunedin, Dee and her husband Steve.  We had the best time visiting my local yarn store, which is soon to be out of business.  Dee and Steve treated us to lunch and gave Little Buddy a coloring book, crayons and a wonderful yellow fire engine.  I would love to say I was the star attraction but you know who stole the show.  We have not met up since before Little Buddy came to live with us.  Dee and Steve knew about our plans to adopt Little Buddy long before it happened, and here they are meeting him in person.  Thank you Steve and Dee for a wonderful few hours, and thank you for fitting us into your trip over to this side of the state.

More fun with Aunt Claudia and Uncle Don, Little Buddy is keeping them on their toes, and making them laugh.  All too soon their trip will be over, and they will be gone.  It is so hard on all of us that they live so far away, but for now we will enjoy our time together.

There has been a tiny bit of knitting,  Another Hitchhiker is finished and in the present bin for next Christmas.  Cascade Yarns Tangier, color 4 or Seas, size 9 needles, 1 1/2 skeins of yarn used.

I am staying off blogs while my visitors are here, there is just so many hours and if I am working some of them I want the rest to be spent sitting next to my sister,.  Hope you are all doing well.  See you soon.

Well of course you want to spend this time with Claudia and Don. We understand completely. I am just so happy you girls get to have this time together and it sure looks like the little guy is enjoying them too. I think there's a lot of love flying around your house right now. Your hitchhiker is beautiful as usual. You do such wonderful work Meredith.

I've been following the visit on Claudia's blog. So happy she and Don are there. Nothing like a child and family to help heal a broken heart. Enjoy the time together.

I'm so glad you are enjoying wonderful times with family and friends, Meredith! I got to finish Rosie's album during four days at the beach, last week, and one of the pages I put a photo of in my last post was the one that showed Rosie hugging the lamb you sent her. Your kindness is epic. I am cheering you on to a bit of a blog break while you enjoy ever second of Claudia's and Don's visit. Your latest Hitchhiker is beautiful and tempts me to put that pattern on my want to make list :) xxxxxxx

Whilst it so obviously cannot be denied that Buddy is loving his visitors - because I imagine he thinks they just came to see him! - I can tell that your sister and brother in law are having a wonderful time and are just as happy to be seeing Buddy as he is to see them! They are a real love triangle together aren't they! How wonderful is that!! Hope you have a fabulous time together!! Hugs to you all! xx

It was so much fun meeting Little Buddy. And, of course, any time I get to spend time with you is a fun time. I'm glad we live just a little bit of a drive away.

Who knows ----- we may just end up on that side of the state in the future.

Glad Little Buddy liked his fire truck and coloring book. Steve really enjoyed reading with him! (It's been a long time since either one of us got to read to a little one!)

Hugs and hope you get to see your sister again real soon.

Family is everything---friends, too! So good for Little Buddy to have time with all of them. Love the pictures. What a cutie and always so happy!

Take your time, I know busyness can truly interfere with blogging but our choices are very clear.

Hugs,

Jane

Family is just wonderful, you all seem to be having such a great time Little Buddy appears to be in his element. So nice to meet up with Dee too although I suspect the Little Man stole the show, who can resist the charm and stunning smile. Enjoy your time with your sister.

You certainly sound like you are having a great time. I am lucky here, my family all live within 30mins of each other or at the longest 2 hours away. Us Brits forget the distances travelled by others on our tiny island. Stay with your family and leave blogs alone! Jo x

Sister visit is so fun and glad you're enjoying yourself and Buddy too! You're just cranking out those hitchhiker scarves! Enjoy your family visit and relax as well. Sorry to hear that the yarn store you like is going out of business. Its so fun to look at the choices and colors in real time, not on a computer screen. Hugs and have a good week!

I don't blame you one bit for devoting this time with your family while they are there to visit you. Those days are always way too short and over too soon. Precious times making memories is to be treasured. My children and their families are in Florida until tomorrow when they fly home. They have been there since last Friday. They went to Orlando and Holden got to go to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse plus other characters he loves. I have been receiving plenty of messages with big smiles. That scarf looks interesting. I will have to check out the pattern. Thanks for sharing.
Susanne :)
