Halloween is almost here......

As many of you know Halloween is my favorite holiday.  What is not to like about dressing up and getting a few pieces of candy?  It is also my oldest son's birthday, he will soon be Mr. 24!   I am working my regular 13 hour day tomorrow and have a long one planned on Tuesday as well so I wanted to get this Halloween wish out to all of you early.  I hope you all have a fun day.  If you celebrate I hope you enjoy the energy and excitement of the little ones in your life.  If you give out candy, I hope you enjoy all the festivities.  And if you ignore the whole thing that is just fine, too.  Regardless, I hope you all have a great week.  I will post a photo, or two or three, of Little Buddy in his costume as soon as I can after the big day.  Posting during the week gets tougher and tougher as my schedule is packed right now.  Enjoy!

And just a short note in remembrance of my Dad's passing two years ago today.  Sometimes it feels like yesterday and others much to long for him to be gone.  I miss you Dad.

I can't wait to see Little Buddy in his costume! I hope he has a fun day. I was just saying on another blog that I loved Halloween when my boys were little. Now that I don't have little kids or grandkids, it's not so fun anymore. I do enjoy seeing all the kids that come to my door though. Just hope we get a decent amount of trick-or-treaters. Hardly had any last year. Sending you a hug on your dad's anniversary of his passing. xoxo

Busy times at your house. When I left Tiger tonight he said, see you on Tue Grandma. I said why? It's Halloween he said. I didn't say anything and he then said...what else have you got to do? Dressing up and being with me and Scout is what you need to do! I do love that kid. Hugs!

Hi Meredith, I tend to ignore the whole thing. I gave up buying candies for kiddos that never arrive. Enjoy yourself. It sounds like you will have a very busy day but am sure you will enjoy seeing the festivities through little Buddy's eyes.

Halloween at your house looks like so much fun. Even though you have some sad memories, I'm sure that LB will cheer you up. He must love all the scary stuff around the house. I used to love the holiday, too, when my kids were young. I miss being that involved!

So much going on as usual, Meredith...take time to breathe. I want to see what your little guy is going to be for Halloween. And a son, already 24? I think that's a great age. The have a great way of expressing their love by then, at least my did!

Thanks for your sweet comments about Milo today. I am so sorry that you lost your guy, I must have missed the post, but I knew he was getting older. I pray your heart is on the way to healing as best it can.

I'm looking forward to seeing Little Buddy in his Halloween costume. We don't decorate for Halloween now it's just the two of us, but I do buy lots of treats ready for any children who come knocking on the door, not that we get many of those now either. Hope you can remember all the happy times with your dad and that there's lots of smiles on the day. I know how hard these days are, even when our loved ones have been gone for many years.

Sending you a hug in the hope it may help. Happy Halloween and Birthday wishes for Mr 24. This will be our first Halloween in the cottage so not sure what to expect. We have plenty of sweets ready and will take them down to the Grandchildren if they are not needed. A win either way.

Have a fabulous Halloween! And already a very happy birthday to your son!
About your dad... Whether it be 2 years or 10 years, the missing will never be completely over. My mother died 6 years ago ( in December, the day after Christmas...) and sometimes I still pick up the phone and almost call her.
Take care Meredith <3

I love your mummy knitting! I also love Halloween. We don't get trick or treaters so Fireman and I plan to go into town to see them in the Neighborhood areas of this town.
I'm told we have some Halloween fun at the Barn with the riders this week. So this morning will have a Halloween twist to it. I LOVE that.
Can't wait to see Lil Buddy all dressed up and pretending!!

Happy birthday to your son! You look too young to have a son that will be 24. Halloween is my oldest daughter's favorite time of year too. Having young children always makes it more fun. Giving you a big {{{HUG}}} because I know how hard it is missing a loved one. You are a busy woman, juggling all the duties of family, home and a job. And, you even find a bit of time to to make some beautiful knitted and crocheted things.......also some weaving. Hope you have a great week :)
