Puppy-mania continues.............

It is all puppy, all the time at my house right now.  I seem to be on rapid repeat, saying the same things over and over, no bite, get down, NO!  Hank thinks Little Buddy is a litter-mate and Little Buddy just can't get it in his head to stay off the floor where he will get pounced on.  Little Buddy gets put in his room with a gate up so he can play without being bitten up like a toy bone and Little Hank sleeps outside the gate so he can be near his brother.  On, and on, it goes........

Last night after Little Buddy had his bath, we gave Hank his first bath at our house.  Let me just say he was not impressed.  He made a huge mess, I swear it is so hard to keep the water in the tub when you are bathing a little puppy, they try to leap out, shake, well you get the picture.  Little Buddy thought this whole bath thing with a puppy was hysterical.  I was drenched, but had two clean boys when it was all over.

Today was the first trip to the vet.  I love when the vet knows you well and everyone at the office is just so thrilled you have a new puppy to love.  They greeted us and were completely smitten with this little boy.  He is now weighing in at 14 pounds and is three months old today.  We need to celebrate!

Hope you all have something to celebrate this weekend.

Oh. My. Goodness. Just look at those faces. Both Hanks and Little Buddy’s. Our Chloe is 12 and still doesn’t like baths, but she stands still and tolerates it. I remember having puppies bouncing all over and in and out of the tub. These two are going to be so close to each other. What a wonderful thing. Puppies and little boys.
Blessings, Betsy

Look how cute that wet puppy is!!! I love when they are clean and soft. That's when you get the best snuggles.

That was a most joyous picture of Little Buddy. Hank is being such a very busy and happy little puppy - great idea to have a gate up with Little Buddy playing on his side and Hank sleeping on the other side close to his best friend. Hope you all had fun celebrating Hank turning three months old. Hugs.

Oh the joys of puppyhood.

There is nothing better than a clean boy and his clean dog! What I wouldn't give to have them both on my lap. Hank is adorable. Sorry he's being nippy.. hopefully he'll learn what no is fast. Or you could nip him back.. lol. How's he doing with potty training? That was the hard part with our Buddy. Poodles are notoriously intelligent, so he should learn that fast. No plans this weekend. Just crocheting. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

What a cute pair! While the pup is small, you might try bathing him in a utility sink for better control. One of my dogs fits in the utility sink, the other not so much.

Oh my gosh. I'm sorry you got a soaking, but there is SO much cute in this post. Your boys are squeaky clean! Look at LB's smile. No wonder Hank is a Stage 4 clinger! I can imagine him LB laughing while you were bathing Hank. hehe.

Happy 3rd month birthday, Hank. You sure do look so sweet.

P.S. If you think washing a puppy is hard, try bathing a CAT. Let's just say neither one of us left the bathroom with our dignity intact.

When Mom and Dad got Jem two years ago, we had the same problem with my niece. She just wouldn't get off the floor, and poor Jem just wanted to play!

So, so adorable. The bath made me smile, I can imagine exactly what it was like. Very impressed with how clean the water is. Ours tends to go dark brown when the dog gets in. Have a lovely weekend Meredith. CJ xx

My mom used to say having a puppy was harder than having a newborn, because you get them as toddlers. Does that make sense? I am so smitten with Hank . I keep turning my thoughts away from puppyhood. I keep reminding myself how much we enjoy the barn and our cats. I so miss having Huck when we snowshoe or walk.
Enough about me. Puppy baths!!! Two happy boys . What could be better. ???

I cannot even imagine how busy you are. THANK YOU For sharing the photos and your life with us. IT is a joy to see

Lol I've done that twice in the past. It's horrendous. They twist and turn, shoot over your shoulder, claw your arms, anything they can get at. Boy the claws hurt Cx

Hank is so adorable. Some people have managed to put puppy in either a caged crate to sleep or in another room with a gate across. I'm always amazed how people just take it all in their stride and make it work. Enjoy whatever you do. Thanks for sharing your amazing but tiring times, Cathyx

This is the best thing I have seen and read all week! And so the bond has begun between Hank & LB.

You thought LB was a pistol - do you think you might have double trouble now (in a cute mischievious innocent fun sort of way)? ;-)

It must warm your hearts to see how well those two are getting on. The gate is an excellent idea and adorable that Hank chooses to be as close as possible to LB.

I can just imagine the state of the bathroom but at least the bath is low enough for LB to see and participate in the proceedings. Fun and games at your place! Nice to read your humour between the lines too.

Thank you for your special words on my blog today. I'm so touched that I haven't found the right words to respond properly except thank you for your beautiful kindness and friendship. It means a lot. xxx

Ahhhh, there's nothing like a fresh from the tub little boy or puppy! Very happy for you!

I don't know how you do this on top of your demanding job!
But it is all worth it. LB is going to grow up with this "brother," and this relationship is going to sustain him through good and bad times!
