A week that is gone in a blink..........

I feel like a broken record but again my week has flown by with work and Christmas shopping and such.  It has had me running around like a mad woman the few moments I am not working.  And of course this weekend I got a big ole brutal headache, yesterday and today have been very tough.  So I will make this short and I am sorry if you are thinking not more photos of the dogs, I mean how many can she put on this blog?  But here they are anyway, with fresh face haircuts by me.  When Hank's hair sticks up he looks like a lion.  To answer a few questions, they do have to be brushed everyday.  And even with brushing everyday they still get big mats that I have to cut out.  I should go get them cut and groomed, I am just afraid I won't like how they look afterward.  They are indeed allowed on our furniture, something Max was never allowed to do.  I wanted a sofa dog, one that would sit next to me as I sat and knit in the evenings, not that that is happening here.  So when we got Hank we allowed him on the sofa, of course not knowing Bear would be here as well.  Now it is a free for all, they sit on the sofas, jump on and off the sofas, play on the sofas and believe me they do not care if you are in the way, they will just jump right over you.  Hank is weighing in at 50 pounds and Bear about 41.  Together they weigh as much as Max did when he was with us, and Max was not over weight.  They are still crazy and full of energy, and make us laugh all the time.  They are very loving and gentle with Little Buddy, much more so than with the rest of us.  Dogs just know when someone needs a bit of gentle care.

Little Buddy has been very busy with school, homework, therapies, soccer on Saturday, a visit with Santa on Friday, dinner with The Aunts after Santa, and he even got his new computer from school.  We have been waiting for this for over a year and here it is.  It is not new, just new to us.  He will take it back and forth with hopes he will be able to type faster than he writes by about third grade.  He did some math on a program the school uses this morning.  Isn't he adorable?  After this he got a haircut so no more bedhead.

Okay, really that is all I have unless you want to hear about laundry, washing the floors, vacuuming, paperwork and all that boring stuff.

I hope to visit you all soon, I swear I miss you all so much when I miss a week of reading your blogs.  Hope you are all well and Happy December.

Al your boys are adorable!
I don't envy the pre-Christmas rush, but I do miss Hanukkah with little ones! We won't open presents until Rachel comes home for her winter break.
I wish you some down time as we move toward Christmas!

Your boys may be rough and tumble, but they bring you such joy and like the week ..... in a blink of an eye they will be grown.

Enjoy the weekend and don't forget to take a little time to BREATHE!!!!

Hugs from way up in the chilly north.

I love having our dog on our lap or next to us. Although he is much smaller than your two big boys, but I still think it's neat to have your dogs close to you. We even have Buddy sleep with us. Your young man looks very happy with his very own computer! I hope he learns to type well, I'm so happy I can type w/o looking at the keyboard, thanks to my high school typing class. Have a wonderful day, my friend. I hope you get to knit with a big fluffy dog on either side of you. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I think those furboys need their own sofa. Can't be much room when they are lounging about. Ha! Such a cute photo of Little B, bedhead and all. Sounds like he has a very busy schedule. Take care of yourself!

I never tire of seeing pictures of the pups, they really are so cute. I hope you get a little down time this weekend, I know, what's that? Take good care of yourself, my friend.

Hi Mere, our dog desperately needs trimming - he now has a centre parting on his back and yettie feet but things seem to get in the way of course. Jo x

We are well acquainted with the ho-hum, hurry up of life!
Sending a hug....maybe you could take two weeks off next year in Dec if you put in for it now!

Well that is a very smart little man with a lovely haircut. And two gorgeous puppies. Bertie is a sofa dog as well. When he was a puppy he would press himself into the sheepskin and pretend to be a cushion. His eyes would follow us round the room to see if we had noticed. Of course, we let him stay, so it is now pretty much 'his' sofa. And yes, I would like to hear about the laundry, the vacuuming and the floor washing, it will reassure me to know that someone else is being driven bananas by the NEVERENDINGNESS of it all. Wishing you a lovely week, I hope it's not too manic. CJ xx

Jack is a sofa dog, too. I quite like it but it takes me forever to vacuum all the hair off (we have wool fabric sofas). He also sneaks into our bed when we don't pay attention. Your pups are adorable and they know it :-)

Glad Little Buddy is allowed to work with a computer. Writing can be so hard when the hands don't obey the will so well. We love maths on the computer, our school uses a tool called Sumdog. Have a lovely week. xx

Keep the pictures flowing. I love seeing The Boys. Our two dogs are gone now, one to doggy heaven and one to the 'other grandparents'. We have had the dogs with us almost every day (ie) babysitting the dogs, taking them to vet, grooming, plus driving them forth and back every day when we pick up DGS every school day etc. for about 13 years and it is a wrench.

Hope that mean headache subsides, that Buddy and his computer remain friends (and that smile - ahhhh).

Hugs

Joy

I don't think you can share too many Little Buddy or sweet dog photos! I love your family and I know its crazy this time of year especially. I hope the headache went away. I am finding I have to rest much more after a busy week then I use too. I just might be 'getting a bit old' as my sweet Tiger says!

I love seeing your fluffy pups!!! Mats are no fun. Poor Pup just got a puppy cut because I was tired of all the grooming. She looks pretty terrible but it's made my life so much easier.

All your boys are adorable! The puppy pictures are always welcome. What better way to share some cuteness. Laundry happened here but not the vacuuming or floor washing. Maybe I’ll get to it this week. Sorry about your headache. I hope it doesn’t continue into the week.

Everyone in these photos is adorable. Love Little Buddy's pre-hair cut look! Impish! Hope things slow down a wee bit for you. Happy December days.

I just have to smile whenever I see a photo of any of your boys. And those two fur boys, oh my goodness! They certainly look like trouble about to happen! Ha ha! I would love to give them both big hugs. The owner of Dennis‘s company has a Labradoodle. He is the mascot for the entire company. He goes to work every day. Last night was the Christmas party and of course Rover was there. He is huge. I truly think everyone goes to the Christmas party just to see him.
Your little guy is just so cute in front of his computer. He looks so proud of himself and happy. I hope your headache is much better my friend. I know how hard they are to deal with and I don’t even have a family to take care of or a job to go to. I will be praying for you. Blessings always, Betsy

I never get bored of hearing about the pups or seeing photos of them, the more the better, and it goes without saying that I love to hear Little Buddy's news. An exciting weekend for him, seeing Santa, dinner with The Aunts and a new computer, lucky boy.

I love big, smiley dogs. Especially when all I have to do is look at them!
Happy December to you as well, and I hope it continues to bring you Joy.

The bedhead is adorable. I love to see and read how the dogs are getting on, Mickey should be cut and groomed professionally but we prefer him rough around the edges. He is always so gentle with the children. Hope the computer will help with Little Buddy's progress at school.

enjoyed your info shared. Your dogs are cute. Our kiddo's school used IPads the past few years, this year they are on Chrome books. We were grateful that he was allowed to use the computer to type things rather than always being required to handwrite (which was so difficult for him to write, and others to read). In 4th grade, he was allowed to type the explanation questions for math. We would have him type it up on home computer, then print it out and staple to the homework paper. He felt good about doing that, and the teacher could read his answers to she felt good about that. Now he's in 5th grade, much of his math is on the computer. His spelling words are now required in cursive, so another learning experience.

well it's official. there's not a single complaining comment on here about too many pictures of puppies! either human or furry!!!
I think you either live with dogs or you do not. like you... I want a dog to be where I AM.
not stuck out in the yard or in a special room. I once knew a family where the two small dogs were not allowed anywhere but the kitchen. and they were totally house trained! why on earth? ok. soapbox away now. you can breathe.
I only go on rants occasionally now. I'm outgrowing them I think.
I LOVE little buddy's bed hair. it is as it should be. he has all kinds of time to look sleek and smooth. I like him with cute little cowlicks.
wow. what an odd word. cowlick. like... the cow licks the baby's hair and it's stuck together... ??? was there a past person to make up these words?
I hope your head ache is GONE. no more to be felt. no more. no more. quoth the raven and so on. sending you so much LOVE! XOXO breathe in. breathe out.
repeat.

December is just aging us all isn't it? Ha! Hang in there Mere. It is incredibly busy right now, but look at that gorgeous smile and that sweet fluff you have in your life. It's pretty fantastic. He looks so studious with his laptop. Take care of you. We're cheering you on. Don't get me started on the paperwork and the laundry -- I don't know this vacuum thing.

Hello Mere! Try to find time to be kind to yourself too if you can, I know there is much-added extras in the run-up to Christmas but a few five minutes here and there to catch your breath and just breathe is really worthwhile. Little Buddy sure is growing up fast! Sending warm wishes , Selma

Well, I for one am not tired of dog pics! I post a lot of pics of my cats and dogs on IG/Twitter/FB. I take it this breed does not shed? My dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms because of the shedding, except for TV watching when we snuggle. The cats are "allowed" anywhere - even where they are not, since they have a mind of their own!

Always love seeing photos of Little Buddy and the pups! Sorry you ended up with a headache from stress...that happens to me, too and I know how awful it is. Try to make some time just for yourself and remember to BREATHE. xoxo

I can sure relate! This fall has literally flown by for me, too, and I don't even have the responsibilities that you do. Thanks for taking the time to post those fun photos of LB and your pups. They always make me smile. Hope you manage a wee bit of time for yourself in this busy season. Hugs!

I read the paragraph that said "third grade" several times! Days and years do fly by even when we get stuck in pockets of dragging on illness and crazy schedules! Always enjoy photos of Hank and Bear!! I am glad you get to share the sofa with them :) xx
