Before: The boys got a bath today right out on my lanai. Mr. 25 always helps with this. It is not easy to corral these boys and get them clean. We end up soaked in the process. I never, ever get sick of seeing them wet. They are so skinny and look completely different with their fur all wet and dripping.
After: We are not at full dry mode yet, there is still some fluff to fluff but you get the idea.
I had to add this one. They looked up at an airplane as I was trying to get their picture. These boys are the best. I adore them or can't you tell?
Before: Yarn just waiting to become a baby blanket.
After: Yarn still waiting to become a completed baby blanket. I still have at least half the lavender and a full skein of gray to go but I will get there. Work, a continuing education class and cleaning have kicked my butt these past few weeks. This blanket needs time and frankly I have run out of it. Still that baby is not due until June, I just need to get it off my list of things to finish if you know what I mean.
The sorting of my newish bathroom led to sorting of my office which in turn led to sorting of my work closet. This is no easy feat my friends, I have to take almost everything out to get it back in again. I have no before picture but this is the after. I can actually see what I have and now can use it! Little Buddy helped me by playing with everything I had out and creating an even bigger mess. Still lots was thrown out, lots donated and lots recycled, a win-win I'd say.
Another after with no before. Well how exciting is a hibiscus before it blooms anyway? This baby was gorgeous, she was only here a day but I just loved her vibrant display.
Okay I am off to get some work done on that blanket. Two have been finished with about a 1/5 left of my last one to go. Wish me luck. Have a great week my friends and thank you for your comments on my updated bathroom. I am so happy every time I walk in and see how nice it looks.

You just reminded me that I supposed to give Pup a bath today. She's small enough to fit in the tub but it's still a chore.
That bloom is just gorgeous. When Son #2 was a teen he had two giant iguanas that we had to feed those flowers. I grew them in pots under a light. They were really pretty and I suppose tasty if you are a reptile.
That is the loveliest baby blanket, such gorgeous soothing colours. Beautiful hibiscus too. The pups made me laugh looking up at the sky. Bertie is the same when he's soaked through, all skinny and small. We practised walking past the groomer's house this evening. He was not happy about it at all. Nice job on the work cupboard. Not many people's work cupboards look as fun as that. CJ xx
Your life is full of gorgeous boys.I am jealous although my gorgeous boy did phone us this afternoon and we are seeing him next weekend.
The picture of the wet pups is adorable. They look so happy. You’ve had a very productive weekend! I hope you get a chance to crochet and relax. Have a lovely week.
cutes....
have a great day
Those colors are beautiful in the blanket. I love lavender. Those boys. I think they are just the cutest. They look like they’re laughing. I just said to Dennis that we need to give Chloe a bath now that it’s warming up a bit. Thank you for your comment on my post. Right after I wrote it the news media finally began reporting on it, thank heaven. The farmers desperately need help.
Blessings,
Betsy
Those boys are just the happiest looking dogs!
Love the hibiscus... makes me sad mine died. Maybe I'll get a new on when the garden centre opens in May.
Love the before & after theme. It feels good to be organised. At first glance I thought it was a picture of your pantry because of the style of shelving (and blurry eyes on a tiny phone screen). I thought "gee, you have so many packet items" (not tins or jars for example) but, reading on, I now realise they are books not food! (Do Hank and Bear consider books food? I hope not!)
Bless LB for 'helping' you sort. One cannot tell whether something is still good without getting it out for a test play!
I take Frodo to a groomer and he acts like an old guy so he doesn't get as messy as he did when he was much younger. I'm chuckling at how your son helped you organize. I took everything out of the linen closets and was shocked at how many 'towels' I think I need. I donated the good ones to goodwill and the tattered ones to the Vet hospital (they use them for emergencies etc...).
The dogs look so funny, as usual. I love how they are pressed against each other. They are so comical. That hibiscus is gorgeous. I love the colors.
Our furbabies look so different when they are wet! lol It's a job and a half to bath them. Love the yarn, so pretty. I managed to get a bit of sun burn yesterday doing exactly what you were saying....one job leading to another. I started off hanging out clothing, to asking the bloke down the road what he was doing with his pavers, to lugging them home, to laying them, to rearranging the garden. lol Oh we get carried away. Beautiful hibiscus!! That colour is amazing. A gorgeous week to you my friend. xx
Those boys are adorable. Mickey is about due for a bath and also needs a good cut, he is looking quite scruffy at the moment. We were waiting for a nice day. The blanket is beautiful, love the colour combination, stunning,
oh Hank and Bear. to see life through your eyes!
it's like they tell each other a private joke always. and they enjoy it thoroughly. LOLOL!!!
I used to have a dog eons ago that always watched airplanes. no others I've known and loved since then ever did that. I loved watching him watch a plane!
your boys look good wet or dry. they are just little loves!
and the baby blanket is beautiful. how refreshing not to have it just another pastel blue or pink or yellow! XO
This was fun to do the before and afters!!! The furboys are always adorable!
Nice job on the closet--halfway through the job you wish you had never started the project but now you reap all the rewards cuz you stuck to it!!!
The blanket will be a beauty and you have time yet so stitch away in the few quiet moments...
Wowza on the bloom; that is an amazing colorway!
Have a great week!
Wow! That is a gorgeous hibiscus bloom! Hope you can find some knitting time. With all that cleaning & organizing, it sounds like you deserve it!
Every single time I look at a picture of your dogs, I smile. How great is that? And your hibiscus, although short-lived, is breathtaking. I remember my grandmother, who wintered in Lake Worth every year, used to send me pressed hibiscus blooms in her letters. Thank you for reviving that memory.
Hello,
The boys are so sweet. Love the photos.
Happy Spring,
Carla
Hi Mere.. I cracked up seeing the wet dogs and the fluffy drier ones.. they are something, those guys. I'm jealous of your Hibiscus.. I'd love to have one like that. Bravo on the near finish on the baby blanket. You're so nice and generous!! Sending hugs your way.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Arh Hank & Bear look cute, they always look happy alongside each other. Love your before and after theme. I always forget to take the before shot too. I'm too busy getting on with the job of tidying. Beautiful flower & lovely blanket, all the best with finishing it. I'm not so good with getting things finished. Take care Cathy x
Good luck on the blanket; it's lovely. And good job on the dog cleaning; that must have been a chore. The end result looks great though. That is probably the prettiest most interesting hibiscus I've ever seen. They are pretty much an indoor plant here, and just a boring pink!
Hank and Bear are adorable Meredith!
Happy Spring
Dog bathing... so.much.fun! LOL
Sherman thinks it is a great idea to get into the tub - but he thinks that whole water thing is for the birds. It's all good until you get him wet!
Your bathroom looks so inviting! AND LARGE!! Wow!
Yay for all your creative efforts! I still have shelves of tutoring materials I used years ago and appreciate having them arranged now so that the next time I want to use them I can actually more easily see and grab them. xx
