Falling Blossoms Shawl #3 and a spooky visitor.......

Can you stand another Falling Blossoms Shawl?  This is number three for me and I have to say I still love the pattern.  It is a quick project that will make a nice Christmas present.  Made with Malabrigo Solis dark.  I am guessing about 520 yards went into this shawl as I still have some yarn left and the skeins are 310 yards each.  I also used a size H hook but should have gone up a size.  Regardless after a good steaming with the iron it looks lovely.  This was stash yarn so I am happy that it has been made into a nice gift.

This was another busy week at work and appears to be getting even busier as I am picking up a one month old darling girl with Downs Syndrome this week.  I can't wait to get started helping her with her muscles and development.  I also went to a workshop yesterday on essential oils for the healthcare professional.  It was very informative and I hope to help myself with my headaches and Little Buddy with some of his issues.  As I get more confident I may recommend a few for some of the kids I work with.  It is always exciting to learn something new and something you can use.  As for Little Buddy I wonder if you have seen him around anywhere?  All I can see is this spooky visitor.  After all it is almost Halloween!

Have a great week my friends.

I have just been admiring your pretty shawls in your last few posts. I am so glad you got to go to the Fall Festival this year, and I enjoyed seeing your photos of the animals and Little Buddy and I celebrate his growth with you....I wonder where Little Buddy can be? :-) ((hugs))

That is such a beautiful shawl Meredith. Whoever receives it will be very blessed. I'm glad you're learning about essential oils. I use them a LOT and find them very useful. I make up roller bottles for pain for my friend Jenny and it really helps her. I also make up bottles for Piper and Brad for their allergies and they help them too. I use them for sleep and also diffuse them in the house, especially in the winter to ward off germs. I've only known about them for a couple of years, but have become a huge believer in them.
Take care my dear freind and thank you for your sweet comment today on my blog.
Blessings,
Betsy

Bravo on another fabulous shawl for your gift giving! I know each recipient will be thrilled. I'm almost to the end of my Dune blanket for my granddaughter and just need to do a simple border. I've decided to go ahead and send it to the older one and then start on the second one. That way it can be used and enjoyed longer.

EEEK.. seems you have a ghost in your house! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

All the NICU Nurses wanted to follow the Downs babies. Something so angelic about them. One of my favorite riders at the barn, well several., have Downs Syndrome. I hope that ghose can get on a horse and ride...like the headless horseman

Gorgeous shaw, Merel! I've never seen anything so flowing like this. The colors are gorgeous, too.

I love your enthusiasm in helping this little babe get a good start in life. The essential oils are interesting, too. I've only read up just a tiny bit on them and it's all good. If you have the time maybe you can give us a little run down or perhaps, let us know how they help you and Little Buddy.

Happy Fall!🍁

One of my childhood friends had Downs Syndrome. I still remember her fondly. She never judged or said anything nasty. She was happy with life.
