A lazy day at home......

Yesterday was so nice. We stayed at home all day long.  I did not have any private patients or paperwork to do for work.  I just had one little guy to entertain.  He declared it a pajama day, his second in a row I might add.  Well, what can I say about that?  No one needs to get dressed on a windy rainy day while you have nothing planned.

We played games, he made a puzzle.  He rode his little green car thingy and watched a bit too much TV.  We talked, got in a couple hugs and a few not nice words when we did not get our way.  Maybe those words were from me and not Little Buddy, I can't remember.  And the best thing of all is I knit and did some crochet.  I sat my behind down while this little one did his puzzle, ate, chatted, ate, played a game, ate........ and played with yarn.  A whole rainy day to play, now that is something special!  I worked more on my Happy Harvest Vest and started a Mezzaluna Shawl.  One of my fingers has really been giving me a problem when I knit so I decided to crochet to relieve the pain a bit.  I felt like I was in paradise, nothing much to do but just be home.

Today more of the same with a few errands to do and a return of my grand-dog for the night while Mr 22 goes to visit a friend.  I hope to be home for much of the day, dog sitting, dog entertaining and dog chasing, and maybe another episode of Outlander to watch while I play with yarn.  You were all right it is addicting and once you get past some of the brutal scenes in season 1 it gets much better.  The costumes are amazing.  Claire get back to Jamie, please!

There is no major cleaning to do, no homework, and no work for me.  Monday we return to normal with crazy schedules and a busy life.  Today I am going to relish the peace and slowness of the day.

How is your day going?

Steve is out for the morning doing inventory at the firehouse. The cat is sleeping on our bed (oh shucks . . . can't make it right now). So I poured myself a tea, grabbed my knitting and I am alternating between reading blogs and knitting a few rows.

It is PERFECT!

I think the world would be a lot nicer place if we had more pajama days!

It sounds idyllic if only for a short while. We are enjoying a very laid back few days too, putting the Christmas decor away and just enjoying each others company.

What a wonderful day, and just what you deserve I think. Hurray for two pyjama days in a row. We have had some nice days here too, but as you say, it is all back to the grindstone now. I hope it is not too madly busy for you. CJ xx

It does my heart good to hear you're having a low-key, relaxing weekend. You deserve it so much! I just rolled my red trolley cart out from the office to the family room and organized my yarn for the big Dahlia blanket CAL that Lucy has organized. The colors are right up my alley. Thanks for the healthy eating advice.. I need help! Enjoy your day and don't work too hard next week. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I am so happy for you and lil B and the perfect day!!!!!!
You guys need it and deserve it.
Today was a bit full of anxiety for me........A family situation that I am not sure how to handle. My husband is better at thinking stuff through and I just want to act and fix fix fix.
But it will get better.
I got a nap in. I put the blanket Regina made for my father over me.....and it calmed me.
Now to knit. That will be helpful and good for me!!! :)

Is LB getting tall? His legs look really long in that one pic. My 9-year-old granddaughter is all arms and legs... already!

Your Christmas cactus are absolutely gorgeous. I have one small one that I coax along and I'm rather proud of it. Yours are just amazing.

The weekend sounds amazing, too, and well-deserved for both you and LB:)

That sounds like the perfect kind of day to have. A pajama day! I love those. In fact, after church and lunch with friends, we came home and I put my jammies on too. It was snowing. We had a late night last night. Dennis' plane didn't get in until almost 2:00 a.m., hours late and we were up early. So we had a lazy afternoon watching utube and I knitted.
I'm glad you had a relaxing day before jumping back into the fray tomorrow.
Blessings and love,
Betsy

It sounds like you had a good day, a lot of the time when we have a day off we fill it with chores don't we? A full day of craft sounds ideal. Your little guy looks like he was having a lot of fun. x

Nothing better than a lazy Sunday. Good for you - you deserve it. I hope your finger feels better soon. I pray that knitting is not the cause! Be careful. xx

Lazy days are wonderful! Thank you for all the floral pictures as well--it's cold and barren here right now.
