A quick October hello.................

Just popping in for a quick hello.  Hope you are all having a wonderful October.  My fur boys will be three tomorrow, I can't believe they are that old already!  Little Buddy has been very, very busy with school.  Lots of online work on the weekends really has prevented me from blogging.  By the time we are done I need to be away from my desk for a bit.  Work is crazy busy, and so is figuring out what to do with a very challenging boy that our current public school system continues to have a very difficult time with.  We have some advanced testing to do this week which will help to determine where he needs to be and that very well might be at home learning for this grade.  I hope you can bear with me a bit longer until I get things sorted in my brain and in life.  Many things to determine with lots of extra specialist visits this month and next for one cute third grader.  I am also trying to stay sane in this very crazy political cycle we are in.  You all know where I stand.  I wish you all a wonderful rest of the month.

I am so sorry to hear of your latest challenges but very happy to see your smiling boys! I can't believe your fur babies are 3 already. It reminded my that I forgot all about Pup's birthday which was yesterday. It's hard to believe she is now considered a senior at 7. It seems like only yesterday that I brought that tiny little thing home.

Wishing you patience and persistence as you navigate the ins and outs of the educational system to find what is best for your handsome, very special third grader.
Stay strong.

Hi Meredith, it's wonderful to hear from you. It's really hard to believe those furry sweethearts are going to be 3! All three of them look cute in their headbands.
Little Buddy looks so grown up with his pumpkin. I hope you are able to get his schedule figured out soon. I have a friend here who is going through something similar with her child who needs some extra help too. Our schools have been in person and then at home cycled through twice already because of an uptick in C-19 cases. This has really done a number on her routine oriented child. You both have my sympathy in trying to cope with all of the ups and downs of this year.
Blessings and a big hug my friend.
Betsy

So good to see your post on my blog list this morning,Mere!!! Adorable photo of little Buddy with that enormous pumpkin. I'd say that is a very smug smile on his cheeky face. I wonder if he is going to return the pumpkin to you...LOL! :-) Your fur boys look as if they are getting ready for some Halloween fun too.
There are a lot of people over here in Europe holding their breath and hoping the American people's choice is the right one!! Keep well Amanda x

focus on the sweet third-grader--presidents come and go but the boy you have is the most important!

I was beginning to worry about your blogging absence. Glad you and yours are doing okay in these troubling times. Now that your dogs are three, you may notice them settling down a bit. Or not. One of my dogs settled, the other is just as "enthusiastic" as ever. Be safe!

Buddy is quite handsome! Cozy dogs brothers. I was thinking about you this a.m. and hoped all was going well. I've got a busy week myself with an appt every other day and hope my car will finally get worked on this week. Clutch issues. Have a good week! Hugs!!! ..Becky

I'm glad you posted -- I was beginning to be concerned. But I can see why posting would be the last thing on your mind. Buddy is definitely most important! He's darling -- and so are the dogs!

I love seeing all your boys.. human and canine! I got a kick out of the pink of your big dog's tongue matches the pink in his fake ears. I can't imagine having to deal with all the planning and execution of getting your little guy through the system during C-19. Hang in there this week.. I am hoping we will be able to eradicate the orange stain from our white house and on the news. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I can't believe Little B is in 3rd grade. Or that your furboys are 3 already. They sure are cute. Hoping for positive news and a way forward through all the stress of this crazy, chaotic year. Take care of yourself.

I snapped a photo of a new neighbor furry friend who always greets me with a happy smile and reminds me of your [Happy third Birthday!!] fur boys. I put his happy friendly face first to greet readers in my last blog post. I am cheering you on as your sort through what's best for LB and hope you are able to make moments for rest and creative fun for yourself as well, dear Meredith. Sending you hugs xx

As a teacher, my heart goes out to parents of children with complex disabilities! LB is so very lucky to have a mom who is not just loving and diligent, but also knows a lot about education!

I am with you on screen time. I'm spending 6 or 7 hours a day on Zoom, so I don't want to do anything with a screen after work.

At least our country has begun to move in a different direction!
