We are still here.................

We are still here.  And I wanted to reach out and say we are okay.  There is this little boy who has kept me on my toes, fourth grade is not for the faint of heart.  He recently fell at school and required two stitches under his chin.  He was fine but the teachers, assistant and principal were all very upset. Boys fall, especially this one.  There have been baby blankets made, actually two almost exactly the same.  Fur boys have had haircuts and lots of belly rubs.  Lots and lots of new yarn has entered this house, I am a yarn hoarder when I am stressed, it makes me feel safe.

I have read your blogs, I know about new projects, family fun, new kitchens, travels, new puppies, new quilts, new dresses and shirts sewn with love, harvests, new baby blankets, all that beautiful knitting, and all the beauty of Autumn where you live.  But for now, with life sort of tipping me off my axis I need to be quiet.  I need peace, which has alluded me for a long time.  I am still here.  We are still here, and I am visiting all of you, just not posting so much.

I wish you all a wonderful day.  Enjoy Autumn as it presents its beauty to all of you.

Wishing you a peaceful day and season as well.

We had all girls, but our grandson was an eye-opener, in terms of energy level! We're in Massachusetts and the trees are turning red and gold - just beautiful.

Take care!

My Dearest Meredith, how wonderful to 'hear' from you. Ouch, yes, I know what boys and their stitches are like and how frightening for everyone concerned at the time. Hopefully, that ice lolly did the trick! Thank you for letting us know that you're fine and we'll hopefully see you back here whenever you're ready. Happy weekend to you and yours, Meredith. xxx

I totally understand. I am taking a blogging break right now. Life has been so busy and pretty hectic. I'm just trying to dial back the pace. I am so sorry that Little Buddy fell and needed stitches. It's always something with kids!

Popsicles and freckles --- could there be a cuter combination?

Hello. I just looked at Teresa's blog ( how I miss her) and was checking on all her blogging friends. I had boys and now have two grandsons ( and two granddaughters :-) ) Lads definitely get into far more scrapes. Our youngest has so many scars - really! Take care and do what is right for you and family. Anne x

Ouchie! Those chin boo boos are no fun. I saw my share of them when I was a teacher. I was always telling kids to take their hands out of their pockets when they ran on the blacktop. Did they listen? No...

Yikes! Glad he is okay. Your dogs always look so well groomed. I should trim around Lula's eyes so she can see better. Happy knitting!

It's so good to hear from you, Meredith. I took a bit of a break over the summer, and I'm still taking it slow with my blog. We need to take care of ourselves, and cutting back on the to-do list is a good thing. Hugs to you.

Stay safe, LB! Love the baby blanket. What would we do without crafting to relax us through the difficult times?

Sending love and hugs to you my friend. Life can be utterly overwhelming at times can't it, rushing from one day to the next with never enough time to catch up with ourselves. I hope you can find some moments of peace and calm and relaxation for yourself, I know how busy you are and how much you do for others. You are an absolute star. CJ xx

glad to see you! Boys fall but boy do they fall, my son was very accident prone which drove me nuts. I hope you have a glorious fall season.

I have chin stitches, too, but mine happened when I was already in my forties. No matter; still not fun.

I hope Serenity finds you soon, and that it stays for a long time. I understand far more than you could know.

Take care of yourself.

So glad the LB is OK; that must have been a scary phone call. (I got a similar call when our daughter, who was in 4th grade then, broke her arm in PE. That's a call I'll never forget even though it was years ago!) Love you afghan, too. You are such an awesome crocheter! Take it easy! You certainly deserve a rest.
