Wrapping up 2009

First, I would like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year. I am so grateful for so much this past year, some things have been more difficult than others, but I am grateful none the less. I always look forward to a New Year, so full of promise. Its like we can wipe the slate clean and start all over again. Any New Year's resolutions anyone? Mine are always the same, trying to have more patience with my teenagers is a big one. Trying to carve out a little more, "Me" time another. Every year I always try to be grateful for my day, I did better with this last year, but I still need help.
On my needles, Another Noro bag. This is for my sons swim coach for Christmas, yes I realize it is New Year's Eve. I told her it will be late.

This mess is a finished Noro bag for the lovely woman in charge of the swim team. Yes, another late Christmas present. I finished knitting it but have yet to sew in the fabric liner and sew it together.

This lovely vest I finished a while back but I never put it on the blog. It is a pattern from the book The Colourscape Chunky Collection. It is made out of Kaffe Fassett Colourscape Chunky yarn. I had to remake the arm holes four times, yes you read it right four times. Thus you see why I didn't blog about it before. IT is a bit big, and I am not in love with it, but it is interesting. The yarn was beautiful to work with.

Too bad I don't look like the model in it. I should have made it smaller, oh well, live and learn!
I wish all of you out there in blog land a wonderful, safe, healthy 2010!

Happy New Year to the best sister in the world! I love you more than words can say. I'm working on more patience with everything, more serenity and creating my desires!

Happy new year to you too! I'm also very hopeful going into a new year. No real resolutions but do want to try to be more mindful about how I live my life and appreciate what I have and the people around me.
And of course, make more time for knitting! Your bags and vest are all very pretty. I love the yarns you choose. Late is ok in my book...I'm still working on a birthday gift due last June ;-)
