On my needles...... another chemo cap for my next door neighbor. In a lovely lilac silk. The color of the picture does not do it justice. She is in the hospital preparing for her bone marrow transplant. Please keep her in your thoughts. Finished..... Two chemo caps that have already been delivered. Both made out of silk, the green(but not in the picture it looks blue) one is her favorite so that is why you see the one in progress, above.
On my needles.... This very blurry picture of a beautiful Debbie Bliss sweater is on my needles, but on hold. Chemo caps take priority. I am making it out of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk yarn. Very yummy to work with. The color is amazing. I have had this yarn for probably 8 years....just waiting for some nice project to pop up. It is fascinating to knit as the back is knit in a rib, but the sides are knit in what will eventually be an angle. I am looking forward to putting the pieces of this puzzle together. I am thinking of making it a vest instead of a full sweater. I thinking knitting the arms will put me over the knitting psyco edge, if you know what I mean.

Oh, that DOES look like a good Friday night date!
I really hope everything goes well for your neighbor!
I'm working on nothing. Exactly nothing!

I bet the silk yarn feels wonderful in your hands and makes a really soft chemo cap.
I cast on a couple travel projects...one shawl and one scarf/cowl. Although it is 100 degrees, winter will return again and i'll be ready with my cowl ;-)
Thinking of you and your neighbor.
hugs, beth
Sometimes other projects have to take priority.
Your sweater looks like it's coming along nicely.
