Happy Tuesday everyone. I am so excited to be all done with my work, paper work and cleaning for today, now I have time to catch up with all of you. Monday's and Wednesday's are a bit draining for me so it is nice to be able to catch my breath on Tuesday's.
As you know I love reading blogs, well I guess that is something we have in common if you are reading this right now. I have been reading a blog that I think you will find fascinating, Wellies, Crochet and Cows. I thought I would give a little shout out to Ellie who writes this beautiful blog. She has such a fascinating life, and she loves crochet, what more could you ask for in a blog? Please pop over and give her a big , "Hello" from me.
Two of my dear blogging friends are each having a give away. I thought you might want to pop over and pay them a little visit, especially if you are feeling lucky.
First we have my wonderful friend Kathy at Kathyinozark's. Kathy is retired and now busier than ever living a wonderful life where she weaves, quilts, makes hand dyed fabrics, and makes soaps and scrubs. Kathy is having an Autumn give away where she is giving away four special prizes. I am sure you don't want to miss out. Kathy also has a beautiful etsy shop that I am sure you will want to stop by and visit when you are on her blog
Second is my equally wonderful friend Judy over at C J Stitching and Blooms. She is an amazing artist who works with stitching, beads, yarn and fabric. Judy grows a gorgeous garden in western Michigan, and if you remember I grew up in Michigan, not on the beautiful side of the state that Judy resides in, so I am a bit jealous of her. Right now Judy is participating in The Wool Lover's Blog Hop and is giving away three special prizes to mark her blogging anniversary. Please pop over and leave a comment so you too are in the running for one of her special prizes.
And for more blogging news I have to send out a huge thank you to Bridget at The Ravell'd Sleave. I am one of the winners of her blog give away and I am just thrilled. You see I knew I had been one of the winners, but I was not sure when the package would arrive. Yesterday when I got home from my very long day there was the package in the mail! Well we know how much we all love a package from a blogging friend. I was so excited but wanted to wait until today to open it up so I had time to really enjoy it. Bridget had been going through some of her knitting supplies and decided to give some of them away. Well let me tell you I think we need to take her temperature and make sure she is feeling well because this is what she sent me.
Can you even imagine how happy I feel right now? Vogue Knitting Scarves, The Best of Knitter's Shawls and Scarves and this beautiful, beautiful wool.
The wool is Spirit Trail Fiberworks, one-of-a-kind hand-painted yarns and fibers. It is made from 85% Polwarth and 15% silk. It is in the colorway Sorbet and believe me that is an appropriate name. It is 600 yards of Strawberry yummieness. I swear I want to eat it for desert.
Bridget also sent this lovely bar for Max. It is gluten free which is fantastic as my dear boy can not have wheat. I am hiding it right now because Max can smell peanut butter a mile away, he will be relentless with me once he gets a whiff of it.
Please pop over and give Bridget a visit. She lives in beautiful Philadelphia, one of my favorites cities, with her husband, her dog Dug and three cats. She is an amazing knitter. You will be in awe I promise you. Thanks you so much Bridget for your generosity. I am tickled pink.
I would say I have had a lot of luck lately with yarn gifts. I am very grateful for all the beautiful yarn I have received. I want to spread my happiness by giving you all a chance to win some fun things so please pop by and visit Kathy and Judy and comment on their blogs so you too have a chance to win something wonderful too.
Have the best day.
