Fluffy has BIG news!

You all remember Fluffy Baa-Baa, sent to me from the wonderful Gracie.  Fluffy has been having a lovely time living at my house in Florida.  We get along just perfectly, she loves Max, she loves my family, she eats my grass and wants to swim in my pool when it warms up enough.  It is a perfect match, well that is until a few days ago.  When I woke up this is what I found!

Apparently Ms. Fluffy has had some babies!  Little lambs running all over my house!  I could hardly believe my eyes, I mean I never suspected a thing.  Not being all too familiar with the sheep reproductive cycle and all, I had no idea.  I swear she has been gaining a bit of weight lately but I thought it was all the grass she has been eating.  I am not entirely sure when this all happened, well you know the delicate part of this situation, was it before she arrived?  I am thinking so, but frankly I  am not entirely sure how stuffed sheep get...... ah, how can I say this without upsetting her, with lamb?

There are little lambs running amok in my house and in my yard.  Little lambs, a sick teenager (fever of 102 for two days and a sore throat) house guests, and work have kept me very busy the last few days.  I hope you understand why I have not been visiting your blogs, there is just so much going on.  And four little ones running every which way has not helped.

Today Fluffy and I have had a bit of a heart to heart.  You see we just do not have the land to feed five sheep, these little ones are only going to get bigger.  Fluffy totally understands, she really loves them but she is exhausted, four babies is just too much for one sheep to handle.  So after a lot of loving, hugs, kisses and a few tears they are now on their way to a new home.  They are going to love it!  I can't wait for them to arrive.  I just know they are going to be so loved.

Look they even exhaust themselves, falling asleep right in the middle of the yard.  Suddenly the house is much quieter, well that is except for the house guests, they are leaving this evening.  Sweet little lambs, you will be missed, but I can not wait for you to make it to your new home.

Max has been exhausted by all the activity.  He informed me that he is not a herding dog and would not be responsible for the little ones.  He has enough responsibilities at the house guarding all of us and barking at the pool everyday.

Hope you are having a lovely day, filled with wonderful surprises.

Such cuties!

But, if they take away from Max's barking at the pool time, it is better that they find new homes ...

lol What a surprise for you! Poor Fluffy. She must have been beside herself. They are such cute baby lambs though. I'm sure the recipients will be very grateful for their company when they arrive.
Your poor teenager. There are definitely some nasty virus' going around. Piper still had a fever of 102.7 this morning. It's been going on for five days now. Ick!
Enjoy your guests Meredith. We know you'll come visit when you have a chance. Love, love your lamb story. :-)
Blessings my friend,
Betsy

What a gorgeous post and very inspired. I can see the lambs belong to Fluffy as there is definitely a familial relationship!

I'm sorry life has been so busy and hope the teenager recovers quickly.

I do hope the lambs are going to the homes of people who blog or will send you updates as it would be so good to hear how they are doing.

Goodness gracious!!!! I had no idea!!!! Truly!!!! But I am certain that you have acted on behalf of the lambs' best interests by finding them loving homes. Thank you for being such a responsible, loving, shepherdess, Meredith. I hope your son and Max recover rapidly. Have you healed from the Shingles? Oh my! now you have given me a bit of a turn Meredith, I'm looking at Florence with new eyes I can see no signs but then you didn't either, perhaps I will become a grandma after all! and to think Fluffy delivered them all by herself. Such cute baby lambs who ever receives them will love them. My son is home for this week and is just starting with a sore throat too! Hope your son recovers soon. :)

Lovely Meredith, you are so entertaining and sweet! I fell in LOVE with those little babies when my eyes espied that first gorgeous pic! Poor Fluffy, going through that whole process and unable to really talk to anyone about it - and now she has agreed it's the wisest thing to allow her babies to go to good homes - what a wonderful mother she is! I know they have been troublesome Meredith, but you are going to miss them as well you know! Oh right, then Max would have too much work to do - no they must go - you must think of what's best for beautiful Max, his life is too busy already!
I do hope your son is soon fully recovered and that you are all better too - and I also think you should be writing children's books for you have a great gift for it my friend!
Love and hugs, Joy xo

Your story reminds me of an Arabian horse we bought for our daughter.. it's name was "Serendipity" - because when she was born it was a complete surprise of the owners of the mare. I think I know where you're sending the lambs.. :-) You're the best best ever. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The babies are (almost) cuter than their mom! Sneaky Fluffy - you'll have to keep your eye on her. ;)

Hope the sick teenager gets better soon.

Meredith, you absolutely need to write a book - or a diary of Life with Fluffy Baa Baa! Your post gave me a good giggle, and as for that last pic of poor Max... he is just adorable :-)
Hope your teen is better soon and peace & calm is restored to your home.

You know what? When I opened your site the texts appeared first and it took a longer time for the images to appear. I read the texts first and thought you were talking about a real sheep and her babies. I was expecting to see photos of cute little lambs when the image of 4 lambs relaxing opened first. I had a hearty laugh.

Congratulations Fluffy! imagine having four all at once! So glad there are happy homes for them all to go to. Beautiful photo of Max.

My boy Ringo would love all those lambs - I think he's a bit peeved that he's a sheepdog and he's only got silly little chickens to herd!!
Sweet necklace Fluffy is wearing!

I'm surprised that Max hasn't made one of the little lambs his own personal buddy!! That would be too difficult for Augie to have so many play stuffed toys around without taking possession of at least one!!

Hope your son feels better soon. And I want to thank you for the lovely story. It so warmed my heart and put a smile on my face. I have been at the hospital all week with my 87 year old mother who just shattered her shoulder and knee and had to have risky surgery. But when I read your precious story and saw the babies...what a smile it brought....thank you so.....you always bring smiles!
