A quiet Autumn morning

Sunday morning was quiet.  A hint of coolness in the air, the sky covered with Autumn clouds.  The berries on my holly tree are sparse this year but still beautiful.  Leaves fall from the trees and turn colors on my lawn. After a brief sprinkling of rain my lone rose looks rehydrated.  Tiny flowers are turning into tomatoes on my potted tomato plant.  The potential of an empty loom and a new project with needles and yarn.  And of course a beautiful wee little face to brighten my day.  The weekend is over, it slipped by so fast.  Nothing remarkable happened, just bits and pieces of life.  Now onto Monday and the whirlwind of a busy week.........

Hi Lovely Meredith, I can't really believe that Autumn happens in Florida. Surely not ?! Looking forward to see what happens next on your loom. And I love that red-blue yarn. Not as much as I love that cute picture of Little Buddy, he is such a sweetie.
Sending you lots of "get healthy" hugs,
Jillxo

What a perfect rose. It's such a pity you didn't get a good crop of holly berries. We have lots of berries this year, which I love. Hopefully the birds won't eat them ALL before Christmas.

Having a lot of berries forecasts a bad winter, which is probably why there are not too many about in Florida. As always a great photo of Little Buddy.

I am glad that autumn has finally reached you! It takes a while, but I imagine that you will be glad of being in the south when the snow comes later on. Your rose is beautiful!! xx

Such lovely Autumn pictures Meredith, you are right of course, the weekend slips by so quickly and before we know it we are facing a new week and all that it entails. For me it is the beginning of the Post Office Christmas rush and preparing the office for the impending onslaught. I have been doing one to one staff coaching sessions and ensuring everything is ordered and stocked up so the office doesn't run out of supplies. Once we are in the rush there will be no time to do anything else lol.
At the end of it I will have 3 days holiday then back to it all haha.
My family time will be in January where I will be able to take days owing me so I can hop on a train and visit my daughter.

Have a great week xx

Lovely pictures. Is that rose outside? Hard for me believe you still have outside blooms, until I remember you're in Florida. Nothing left blooming here !

Hope you have an extra happy week, Meredith! I love seeing some glimpses of your FL Fall. And the photo of the gray pattern is especially neat to me. I just finished another bunny and am ready for the boys' bunnies to hop in a box to NY. Now I wonder what creative adventures you and Little Buddy will have... :) xx

Hi Meredith! Loving your pictures, such lovely impressions! Ooh, what will you make next with your loom? Have you got anything planned? I just finished 2 projects, so started on knitting a hat for a change! Hope your weekend has been restful!
Wishing you lots of energy for the week to come!

Bits and pieces of life here as well. It's nice to be at the start of projects isn't it, although my focus seems to be very scattered at the moment. Scarf? Mittens? Blanket? Hot water bottle cover? Moomin? Small rabbit? Impossible to decide. I live in fear of waking up to find I have started all of the above. CJ xx

I just LOVE that sweet little grin. Little Buddy gets a bit more handsome EVERY day.

We had a very cloudy/rainy day today. I put my bat plant out to get some natural watering --- I swear I heard it say thank you.

I do remember weekends slipping away when I worked full time. It is good to try to slow down and enjoy the little bits. Hard to do when there's so much to get done.
My Hollys had few berries this year; my fault asi trimmed them.
I also didn't know you had leaves that turned there.
We are presently under a layer of snow.
Lil buddy's smile is truly infectious!

I'm impressed with the colored leaves!!!
Growing up in St. Augustine; we would drive up to Jax to the only mall within 100 miles of us a week or two before Xmas. (60s) We would marvel at the color of the occasional oak tree every couple of miles. One trip home we saw NINE trees that were starting to change!!
