Another year at the Fall Festival.................

After all the horrific news this week in the United States, shootings at grocery stores, bombs sent to people that have a differing point of view, and of course the massacre at a synagogue where people were attending a Saturday morning service, well I thought we all might need a little Little Buddy love.  He makes me smile, and smiles I have needed after seeing all the hate, the lives shattered, and our president holding rallies among these horrible times.

Here we go another year at the Fall Festival with Little Buddy.  This year it was only us two, Dad has a foot problem that makes a lot of walking painful.  No matter, Little One and I managed just fine.

Little Buddy rode a very tall horse and went on the train  and the cow train three times each.  He informed me he isn't even scared of them anymore, I guess being seven makes you very brave.

We saw sheep, pigs, two alpaca's, a giant cow, a zorse, huge tortoises, a llama, ferrets, red foxes, little pigs and so much more.

Little Buddy got to pet the ferrets and feed the sheep.  He was so excited and might I remind you very brave.

As this was the first cool day of Autumn, meaning a high in the 70's he got to wear his new jeans.  I am a bit of a nut but I just can't get over that cute hiney.

Here he is from four years ago, our first visit to the festival.  My goodness he was so tiny, now he is a big, grown up, brave boy.

Enjoy your week my friends.  Hug those you love, after this week it seems tragedy happens more and more frequently.  Stay safe.

What a fantastic day, I'm glad you both had such a good time. As you say, an antidote to all the darkness. It's always lovely to spend some time with animals. 7 is a very brave age, I can tell. Wishing you and yours a good week Meredith. CJ xx

I find it so hard to believe he is seven years old already! He is such a big, brave boy. And riding such a big horse! I remember when he was afraid of all of those things. I’m just bursting my buttons up here looking at these pictures. You would think he was my boy! I’m so enjoying watching him grow up and change... daily it seems.
I agree with you that we need smiles and laughter these days. I’m praying for our country on a daily basis. I’m going to add your husband to my prayer list too. I hope his foot is better soon and your stress is leveling off.
Much love and many blessings my sweet Meredith.

We need a whole lot of Little B. In fact, a lot of people could do with spending time with innocent children and sweet animals rather than working themselves up into an idiotic frenzy. The guy in the WH has done nothing but attend rallies for two years and spew nonsense. Terribly depressing times.

Looks like you had a great day.

A Little Buddy Love is always welcome. He is very brave indeed, some of those animals look enormous and I am not sure I'd go anywhere near. I am a bit a of a scaredy cat, you can tell LB, it will make him laugh. A mum that is more scared than her kids, imagine that! I am wishing you a good week, despite all the craziness out there. xx

Thank you for the smiles! Little Buddy always puts a smile on my face. I'm glad you two had such a good time at the fall farm. I only wish it were 70 here! We totally skipped the beautiful, fall temps here this year and instead went straight from hot to cold.

How brave he has become!!! That is one nice thing about going again each year-you have a nice chronicle of him growing bolder and older!
Have a good week!

I am supposed to be on a self imposed Technological Break! tying to not comment on blogs much less spending way too much time on this computer!
but how could I not break my own rule when it concerns Little Buddy? he is a shining light. he is Mere! just as much as if he were a light on the shore of a very dark sea. thank you. these pictures do more than warm my heart. they give me hope. sending love and hugs to you both. XOXO

He has learned a great deal about the world in those few years. That he feels so safe out and about in the environment is a great credit to you. You've helped him to know that he can be in control of new situations. That's huge in his development!

A Little Buddy love goes a long way, he certainly always make you smile which is needed in these scary times. How grown up he is looking and a joy to read how brave he is.

Great post, Mere. We've just gotten back from seeing out Chicago family and it's taken a while to catch up. One of the first things we did on our return is vote; I love our system of all mail voting. LB is growing up way too quickly! Hope your DH's foot is improving!

Thank you for lifting my sagging spirits by sharing your little man and all those cute animals. I'm with you on being saddened and disturbed by the hate and murder and mayhem. Worse yet the man in the White House claims no responsibility, but instead is blaming the press, which is only reporting on the truth of what he's doing and saying. I hope I live long enough to see the end of this leadership. Or lack of leadership. ((hugs)), Teresa

So sorry for your hubby's foot problem, and I hope his foot heals rapidly. Thanks for sharing the Fall Festival and I am glad it was a success for you and your brave seven-year-old-who-is growing-up-so-fast :) There is so much trouble and calamity in the world! I continue to pray for comfort and wisdom for us as we confront negativity. I just read the passage in John 16:31-33 NLT and am pondering how I/we can better know the peace in Christ He promises because He has overcome the world. Praying for blessings for you and yours this week and a happy celebration of J's birthday! xxxxxxx

There's quite a difference in your smiley Buddy than a few years ago!! Growing up in many ways, which is good. Yes, it's sad that there's awful problems in our world. We can't agree on everything but we need to be kind to most people, hate someone, walk away, not harm them! Glad you had a good time with Buddy even though Dad couldn't go with you! It was nice to see your smiling face too! Have a good week!

Little Buddy sure is cute, especially in the flower face photo. He is not losing his cuteness with age. He is just a different, slightly bigger kind of cute.
