Just some regular busy days......................

To be honest my friends we have just been busy with regular stuff.  Nothing that outstanding, just life.  Last weekend I was battling my after Botox shots for headaches headache.  It can be pretty brutal and seems to have lasted much of the week and into this weekend.  It will all get better soon, or so I hope.  In the midst of all that headache pain there has been work, homework, a little boy who had his every three month throw up right in my husbands car, a leaking refrigerator on a late Friday evening, and oh I almost forgot two escaping boys who luckily came right back home when I called them except I was already in my car looking for them.  My neighbor caught them and they were home by the time I realized I had on no shoes and had no phone in case someone found them and called me.  Those two are so, so naughty!  Don't let their sweet expressions fool you.

After their great escapade they were in time out in their crate for two hours.  I was mad at them for two days.  My husband kept saying they did not know why I was mad but I can tell you from a mother's perspective that they sure did.  I did not even give them a kiss on their sweet little faces until Wednesday morning.

I bought these awesome slippers at Walmart a week ago, of course it turned very warm after that.  Still I am keeping up hope I can wear them this week as the weather is expected to be colder.  One of my medical foster mom's had them on and I fell in soft, warm, cozy love with them.

Little Buddy received a lovely surprise in the mail from a wonderful blogging friend.  He loves this fun write on screen and played with it a long time yesterday.  It was a fun break for him because we were trying to complete a big school project on fairy tales.  We picked the book Aladdin and he really loved it.  He had lots of drawing, coloring and typing to do yesterday.  We still have more to go this afternoon.  We have two weeks to get it done but I can't do it during the week and next Friday are his Botox shots for leg muscle tightness.  He can sleep a lot and be very sensitive when he gets these, better to plan for a stress free weekend next weekend if I can.

That little boy and I better get busy on that project.  Wish me luck, my patience is not at an all time high because of my head.  How are you?  What's new?

Those slippers are just too cute!
Your pups were very naughty. I would have been mad too. I had a doggy adventure of a different kind this weekend that cost me a lot of money. It was all my fault, not hers so I wish I had a crate that could put myself in. Lol.....but I know this. I won't be feeding my dog anymore chicken nuggets from McDonald's. Expensive lesson learned.

I'm doing normal things as well. Did a bit of shopping after an event in another town. Costco was crowded! Megan was overwhelmed but waiting in line wasn't roo bad. Warmer weather in afternoon! Took jacket off. I hope your headaches go away soon! I just read last two posts. I like your Christmas cactus! Poinsettias and I don't get along.
Have a restful and peaceful weekend!

These slippers are lovely! Hopefully you will have the appropriate weather to wear them. I think they may help against the headaches just because they make you happy. Hugs, Regula

What a sweet gift for a cute little boy. I sure hope you were able to make good progress on his project so the pressure will be off next weekend when he's not up to snuff. Those naughty little fur babies. Don't they understand that getting loose is very stressful for Mom? Apparently not. They ARE cute, but double trouble. :-)
My sweet Meredith, I'm SO sorry about the headaches. I understand about the injections. I get more the first week in February and the last 2 sets haven't helped at all. I'm dreading them.
I will definitely be praying for you my sweet friend. I'm sure telling you to take a deep breath is no help whatsoever. :-) . Hugs and lots of love to you.
Blessings,
Betsy

Always a big job getting a school project ready in time. Little Buddy looks very pleased with his 'writing on' screen. The dogs look rather happy too - good neighbour for catching and bringing them home. Cozy and cute slippers - (wonder if dogs like them too).
Last week for you sounds like 'way too much stuff happening'.
Hugs.

Naughty but so cute I would struggle not to kiss them all the time. Hope you feel better soon and that all goes well with little Buddys shots.

Sorry your headaches still aren't great, I hope they ease off very soon for you. Much of the normal stuff here too. Those beasts are so adorable, even if they are VERY NAUGHTY. Very glad they didn't get too far from home. I am trying to imagine it being too warm for slippers, it has gone very frosty here, they would definitely come into their own. Little Buddy's write-on screen sounds fun. I hope his shots aren't too tiring. Have a lovely week my lovely friend. CJ xx

I'm sorry but I cannot stop looking at the flowers behind the dogs. We , as you know, are covered in snow. Such is the life of the northern blogger. Escapades near the everglades may be your new Blog title . Except Fireman tells me you are nowhere near the Everglades.
I LOVE YOUR yarn for the crochet.
Give Lil Buddy a big hug from me. His project sounds wonderful and I am so proud that he is typing

There was a game my kids played on the computer to learn to type...I'll ask them what it was called. IT worked. !Love you!

ONE of those boys knows what grief he put you through! and he's sweetly sorry. you can see it written all over his face. and the other one is adorably saucy about it. he thinks it's funny.
I remember being told as a child... "you think it's funny? well it's NOT!"
she was at her wit's end by then I'm sure. LOL.
I hope your headache leaves soon. love and hugs being sent your way. xoxoxo

I am so sorry you are suffering so badly with these terrible headaches. Have you been able to pinpoint what causes them...stress, food sensitivities?

I have fuzzy slippers similar to yours and mine sure get a workout here in northern Illinois! We had snow, sleet and frigid temps this weekend. Wearing layers indoors is a must.

Hope your week goes better.

xoxo

Oh dear.. it's so scary when the dogs get loose.. so many dogs are hit and killed when running away. Our naughty Mocha runs right out into the busy country road when she gets loose.. we've had to chase her down the road with cars zooming around us. I live in fear of losing her as we adore her so much. I love your new slippers! I need some fuzzy ones. How nice of someone sending your young man such a thoughtful gift. I hope your headache is soon a distant memory. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Glad you got the dogs home safely. Your crocheting looks gorgeous! What are you making? I'm sorry to hear that you are still getting the headaches. Buddy looks adorable with his new gift!

Hi Meredith, your ability to carry on when burdened by headaches is amazing. I have no tolerance for headaches. May your headaches be long gone by the time you read this.
January has been busy here too. Lots of loose ends from 2019 to tidy up and new plans to set in place for the new year. I am ready for change; for a new chapter. There hasn't been much blog writing but that will come. Fingers crossed. It's always a pleasure to keep up with your news through your blog. Hugs to everyone (even the naughty furry boys).

Wow! You've had a rough week! That's so not fair that the anit-headache cure gives you a headache! Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

Those boys couldn't possibly be naughty--they are so angelic looking. LOL!
Love those sunflowers!

nothing new which is wonderful for me. I like same old same old. Dog escapades are ridiculous. My previous dog never came when called until she was exhausted from running around like a nut. Frodo had selective hearing as a pup but he's pretty good now until the cat slinks in.

Happy New Year, Mere! It was fun to catch up with you. I sure hope your headache is gone by now and stays away. I always love seeing LB photos! Tell your doggies to behave now that they've hopefully learned who's boss.

Those dogs! Well I hope they won't be giving you anymore headaches on top of your actual headache - Blah how painful. You have had a right week of it. Jo xxx

So sorry to hear about those awful headaches. My nephew had to get Botox shots, for headaches after a head injury, and it took some time for him to feel any relief. Hope they start working soon for you!

Those furry boys look so darn cute and innocent....

What a cool gift for LB. It looks like a lot of fun.

Hope the rest of your week is headache-free!

Rest, rest, rest (and take all the time you need to rest). Your body and mind are speaking to you, listen.
Will look forward to hearing from you when your energy and body is restored. Take care.
