Catching up.............

Hello!  How are all of you doing?  Here is a bit of a catch up with things around here in no particular order as my photos seem to load just the way they want, not the way I want.

Work has been mixed for me.  Lots of families out with Covid, last week I missed an entire day due to that.  It rained that whole day and Little Buddy and I enjoyed a day at home, me puttering and cleaning, him in his pajamas watching shows, playing, reading and all that.  It was really nice, I think just what I needed.  This week lots more out but I never seemed to be able to make my schedule work so I had an afternoon off. My little ones have been crazy, I have lost a bit of my patience, is it the heat?  Are we all sick of summer?  Do we need a better routine with school starting soon?  Was it a full moon?  Who knows but it has been a bit rough for all of us.

Little Buddy got exposed again at camp.  I can't tell you how many times this child has been exposed to Covid by sustained close contact. Seems two of the teachers got it and one child.  He had a stuffy nose at the beach so I tested him when we got home, no Covid maybe just too much salt water.  Camp might be canceled for the week, I am still waiting to hear.

Little Buddy and I finally made it to the beach. I work so much that time is limited and on Friday when I am off there are important errands to run or appointments to keep.  Saturdays have been rainy, he is not easy to get on or off the beach, we can't run off if it starts to storm so we can only go on brilliantly clear days.  Yesterday was just such a day.  We were there by 8:30, played in the sand and then the water for over an hour.  Little Buddy had the best time.  He swam and swam, threw big rocks at me and walked and almost ran in the water.  I miss our pool where he did so much therapy during the summer.  Two hours was just enough for him, we headed home for a bath and some relaxing time because he told me he just needed to relax all day.

The boys had haircuts last weekend and boy did they need them.  Hank is once again losing his hair on top of his head.  We went to the vet on Friday and she doesn't seem to know what is going on.  And he is licking incessantly, I mean it is driving me crazy so she gave him a shot for that.  I have not seen much improvement yet.  His food has not changed which was the reason last time this happened.  I am now going to try a chicken/rice blend and get off the fish blend.  It just might be he can't tolerate that anymore.  They were both so stressed with the move, but we have been here almost three months so they should be settled in by now.  We also have different grass here, might be a whole combination of things.  If they could only talk and tell us what they need!

And Luna my grand dog spent the night last night with her new collar on. She is not , how can I say it without being offensive, well she is not a real feminine girl, so the collar makes me laugh.  She is a big tomboy and rules the roost when she is here, so the pink bow collar just makes me smile.

Have a wonderful week.

Update:  A cute little boy just woke up not feeling well.  He has tested positive for Covid so we are hunkering down for the week.  I have to cancel all my patients, yikes!  Hopefully he will recover quickly.  Stay safe.

Little B looks a little more grown up when he doesn't have his glasses on.
But once they are back on, he's got that little boy look again but obviously is growing so much. Good you were able to get to the beach. Luna is not looking too impressed. :) Maybe the heat and full moon got to her, too -- or she's over that pink bow. HA! Currently 112 F here. Stay cool, take care. xoxoxox Tammy (still owe you an email)

Oh, no....I hope Little Buddy makes a fast recovery. Everyone has it again. My poor 1 year old grandson has had it 3 times since September. My poor daughter has to take a test almost everyday from the exposure she keeps getting at the ice rink she coaches at. Everyone who is coming back from vacation comes back sick.
Big hugs to you and all your boys....best wishes for better times ahead.

Little B looks like the sand and sun was the perfect ticket. I'm so sorry he tested positive for COVID. I hope he recovers soon and doesn't share it with you. I hope Hank gets his issue sorted so he no longer is loosing his hair. I'm still enjoying summer and not looking forward to shorter days; but, I know those will come way too soon!

Oh golly .... just what you needed. Hope LB has a mild case.

Steve and I were both sick two weeks ago. We constantly tested negative, but I'm pretty sure we had Covid. Our symptoms were exactly what has been going around and those folks testing positive.

Hope you have a quiet week.

Luna looks adorable with her bow.

Yikes. I'm so sorry LB has Covid and I hope it is a mild case and eases quickly. AND that you don't get it too. That sounds rough. But I'm glad you had a beautiful day at the beach and a day off at home together to just enjoy. You've needed that day off, I think and it sounds lovely.

Hang in there and I'll be thinking lovely thoughts for you and Little Buddy on the Covid situation.

LB looks adorable and I love his freckles!! Hope you all stay cool and be well soon. Sorry LB isn't feeling well and you don't get it. It is to be hot this week....100 degrees for a few days then it gets cooler next week which is good. My daughter just got a new car this afternoon. Now there's two new cars at our house. We were able to ride to family reunion Saturday in Phil's car and it was a comfortable car! Both cars are 2014 year. I have to put up with allergies lately but good even though I am wearing my glasses instead of my contacts lenses which I look to wear. I wear them at times, depending if my eyes are itchy. Have a blessed week!

There are few things more charming than a freckle-faced boy. I hope LB has a mild case and is not too fretful. Fingers crossed that you can stay well yourself.

Luna looks cute in her girly-girl collar. I'm sure she merely puts up with it.

Take good care, my friend. I'm always rooting for you.

I kind of weirdly liked staying home with my girls when they had covid, it just cleared the week but then of course you know you are needed elsewhere and it will all be waiting for when you get back out there. Stay safe. xx

I am so sorry to hear that Little Buddy has Covid. That really stinks! I hope he has a mild case and recovers quickly. And I hope that you don't catch it!

Poor Hank. With his incessant licking, it reminds me of my cat, Clementine. For several years now, she's been constantly licking and chewing her fur/skin to the point of where she is half bald. The only fur she has left is her face and back because those are the only places she can't reach. She has even been to two vet dermatologists! Between them and our regular vet, we have tried every medication available and nothing has worked. A couple of them worked somewhat for a short time, and then would wear off. They changed her food, too. Nothing helped. Our vet finally determined it is anxiety. And she can't go on anti-anxiety medication because it would affect her kidneys - and she has kidney disease!

Take good care of yourself, Meredith. Thinking of you and your son. xoxo
