Blog Friends, Monster 4 and a Cute Story

What would a girl possibly do without her blogging friends?  Her amazing blogging friends that come to the rescue?  I can not even tell you how much I love each and every one of you.  I love how you share your own experiences and make me laugh, and cry.  Knowing I am not alone in this crazy menopausal haze,  and male dominated insanity, has really helped.  With the exception of my Father going completely bananas at my expensive, and now my sisters, and catching yet another cold (do you think I am stressed?), the weekend has been good.  Especially the time I have had to snuggle with Max.  He is so soft and yummy.  He fell asleep on my bed Friday night while I was reading, and let me hold his paw.  He is the definition of sweetness.
Last night while waiting for Mr. 18 year old to come home, I kept myself awake finishing Monster #4.  Because he is going to an older great-nephew, he got a sewed on mouth.  I think he looks quite happy, and ready to have some fun.
By only stuffing the ends of his arms, they do not look so questionable.  I think that may be the answer to the inappropriate looking body part issue I seem to be having.
Here they are all together basking in the sun by my pool.  After a few more squares to complete on my vest, I will be starting on Monster #5.  I have at least four more monsters to go.

Now for my cute story.  For all you American Idol fans I bet you will like this.  I work with a 3 1/2 year boy who lives in medical foster care.  He has cerebral palsy and can not talk (with the exception of about 5 words), but he is very bright.  He makes sounds, and smiles, and laughs.  We have a really great time together when I work with him twice a week.  Anyway, on Wednesday night his medical foster parents noticed he was singing, and waving his arms the first time Phillip Phillips sang.  They waited for him to do it with the other two contestants, but he didn't.  Sure enough when Phillip Phillips came on and sang again, my little buddy sang with him.  He did it each time Phillip Phillips sang, but only when he sang.  I think Phillip Phillips has a new fan, don't you?

Again, I want to thank you all for caring so much.  When I am feeling crazy, like I am going to jump out of my skin, I am coming back to my last post to read your amazing comments.  You are the best!

I think Phillip Phillips probably would be amazed at what his singing can do.

You dog is so sweet. Goldies really are the best dogs.

For some reason I've only just seen your last post - I hope you're feeling a bit better now - I hate having days/phases like that - everybody getting on your nerves and you feeling like a little, slightly shaky, island in the middle of all the crud going on around you.
Give your gorgeous dog a big squeeze from me

I looooOOOOooooove your latest monster! I want to make a teddy bear using variegated yarn.. but have to do 2 more little boy teddy's first. That is such a neat story about the little boy.. I hope you record the singer singing that he liked and give his foster parents a copy to play on the DVD for him.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I wish I had been blogging when I was going through the same sort of stuff you are going through right now. Sometimes you feel so alone but there are plenty of us out there. Your little monster is so cute! Your fixation with the male body part always appearing in their limbs must be do to your bouncing hormones! lol You are so funny! Having the family fur baby to love on is always great for giving the extra TLC that we need sometimes...Glad you have him! Hope your week ahead is a stress free one....hang in there!~Hugs, Patti

Mischief making, those monsters look like they could stir up some smiles and get into all kinds of trouble, lol. I hope today is a better day for you dear friend.

It's amazing what children (and adults) with CP respond to! Hopefully Phillip Phillips will put out an album so he can listen anytime he wants.

Your monsters just make me smile. They look so happy siting by the pool- what a cute little family!

So glad the little boy you work with enjoys Philip's music! My great niece has CP as well. She can not speak or swallow, but her family can tell she enjoys music.

I am really impressed with your monsters especially since I know they are helping you complete your vest. Bravo!

This weekend I have been knitting a hat...slowly(:

Me again! I meant to say on my earlier comment how much I adore your monsters! They look so gorgeous lounging by the pool together. You're such a clever girl. And as for blimmin' menopause - don't you wish there was a magic pill to make it all go away? Rotten stuff and so unfair after all the things us girls have to go through in life ay.

Take care,
Leah

Blessings to always my friend :)

It's so wonderful to know that somewhere in your friends world that he picked up on Philip's music, I have always connected to certain songs and music......I guess he did too.
Awww, now that is heart warming, so glad to hear you have had a special cuddle with Max. We need those moments from time to time to keep our sanity, lol.
The little monster is just daring!!!! I really love the yarn, great choice!
Hang in there, I just know you will come through it all, stronger and lovelier!

Your Max sounds like such a sweet boy. I eagerly await the day our landlord says we're allowed to have a dog...Anywho, Love the monster! He looks quite nice and monstery, no questionable bits. Ha! Okay, I missed your last post. You are preaching to the choir here. At least Jingles is a girl. :) I haven't had a cycle since January. My doctor wants me to take a pill to have one but I told her as long as there isn't anything medically wrong, then I prefer to let nature take its course. This has been going on for a couple of years now.

Your latest monster is a cutie! And that Max is a love heart! Unfortunately, older dogs don't have a shorter life span than smaller dogs, but I hope Max will be with you for many more years to come.

It sounds like your buddy has picked the winner of American Idol. :) We will certainly know soon enough. Actually, does it come on tonight for you? I think it might come on tomorrow night here. I sure will miss the show when it is over for the season. Nothing else to watch on the weekends around here.

Hope you are feeling much better. take care! Tammy
