Monster Number 3

Before we get into another Monster photo shoot, did you see the Super Moon the other night?
It looked about the same to me.  I really couldn't tell the difference, but I bet all sorts of craziness went on that night.  I stayed in!

Monster number 3 is complete, and to be honest I am not sure how I feel about her.
She looks more like a cat, probably because I can not follow a simple direction, and I probably miscounted somewhere.
Number 3 is made from Bernat Mosaic, a yarn I thought was soft and lovely but will not use again.  The yarn kept pulling apart, right in the middle of an arm or leg.  Once again I have to say, " Life is tooo short for cheap yarn", even for a Monster.
Her head is supposed to be round, she looks like a weird bowling pin with ears.  I am not sure she is going to make the cut, I will wait and see how I feel about her later (which makes me sad because I don't want her self esteem to be threatened).  Now I have to complete nine more squares on my vest before I can start another Monster.  I will be completing some squares watching American Idol tonight.  Anyone else watching this year?

In Daytona Beach, the moon looked just about the same too. Pretty, but it didn't look real big like the news said it would.

The bowling pin monster is cute anyways. Monsters can be all kinds of shapes I'm thinking.

I think she is super cute. Why do we have a certain idea about people/monsters? She is perfect just the way she is. :-)

Love your monsters, they are so cute! I didn't see the moon, it's been really cloudy here so we haven't seen much of the sky! xx

Monsters come in all shapes and sizes so I think Monster #3 is perfect in every way. She is a monster after all. The moon was big and bright over here but I just went outside to look and no moon to be seen tonight. Yes, I am watching American Idol -- but it comes on here Thursday and Friday night. Our weekend starts tomorrow so I will come home, don my pajamas, find a project to work on and wait for American Idol to start at 8 pm so don't tell me what happens. :) Good luck with the next 9 squares. Tammy

Hi Meredith,
Monster #3 is so sweet, more of a sweet monster....but that's OK isn't it?! They look so great together, the colors are wonderful! I'm not watching American Idol this time, but I am watching Dancing with the Stars, which I am so enjoying!
Have a great rest of the week.

Oh the Moon, it was really something, only got to see it once, cos we have had so much Rain : ( Yes, I bet there was lots of craziness and babies born!

Hee-hee...I love your cat/monster! Just put some whiskers and a long tail on her. Kitties need love too.

I had the same problem with the Mosaic yarn!

Mere

GIve her 3 whiskers on both sides of a pretend nose, and it was cloudy and foggy so no big moon for us in Chicago, but 28 week twins delivered at work that night.

Hi Meredith. I saw the moon and thought it was really bright and pretty. Your monsters are cute! I am watching Idol. It is so hard at this point, because they are all so good. I did love Elyse though.
Who do you like? I guess at this point my favorites are Phil and Hollie.

I love her! She is so sweet...look at those cute ears, that little face...oh, she's adorable!

The photo of the last monster and her together is super cute. They really do go together. :)

Keep up the good work and you are doing so nicely on your squares for the vest. :)

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Yep...I am watching right now! Joshua just sang and I still have goosebumps...ok..."goosies". I think your little monster is so cute! I did see the super moon the other night while walking down the street in Laguna Beach, Ca! It was big and bright out there and really lit up the sky. I am back here in Ohio now...I haven't heard anyone talk about what it looked like here. I think I will pick up my crochet and enjoy AI too!~Hugs, Patti

Monster #3 is very sweet--I actually thought it was a bunny at first. Maybe if you added some whiskers you could pass it off as a REALLY early Easter gift for next year?

There is something about monster three that is endearing to me...color shape and as you can see by your photo of two and three there is potential for faithful friendship. (:

I kinda agree about the moon. It wasn't all that much bigger, maybe a bit brighter. Yes all the real crazy human monsters come out when the moon is full. I stayed in too doing my thing. I see your thing right now is the monsters and I think there is no set rules on what a monster needs to look like so I think your #2 one is just as loveable as the other. Don't scrap her, she just has her own personality is all, lol
(((HUGS))) Susanne :)

I like the new monster. I have had the same problem with that yarn. Too bad because the colours are great.

I think both of your monsters are very cute (or is "cute" an insult to monsters? Should I say that look very scary indeed?!) this is one of the things I love about handmade companions - no two are alike, they all have their own personalities!

You are right. It looked the same to me too. Those little guys are too fun. Love the yarn choice. I must go find my hook and pick something up again. I've been so bad since I got home. Not a stitch to be had. Lots of planting, however.

Oh, I love her, too! She's long and lanky and just perfect. We're always most critical of our own work (even with silly monsters), but she definitely "makes the cut"!
