Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating today. There is still so much to be thankful for even with a year like we have had.  2020, frankly you can't be over with soon enough!  Still today is a day to spread gratitude for all that we have, for all the love, family and friendship, a roof over my head, clean clothes and food to eat.  My children are healthy, I am lucky to be able to work, move, think and speak.  I am lucky to be able to clean my house top to bottom today and get ready to decorate for Christmas tomorrow.  I have a beautiful little boy, who is a pistol but fills my heart up everyday.  He is a work in progress, but aren't we all?  I am blessed my older sons have been moving on into adulthood, just as they should be.  I am blessed for beautiful friendships, and that includes all of you!

For those of you who have suffered so much loss this year my thoughts and prayers are with you.  I am keeping you close to my heart.

If you would like to learn the true origin of Thanksgiving please read this wonderful piece by Heather Cox Richardson, which hopefully you can find here. I read her email every morning.  She is a historian teaching out of Boston College and she is just amazing in her knowledge and views.

Stay safe and enjoy your day!

Hi Meredith, Happy Thanksgiving! It's been a rough year, but gratitude is what keeps me going too! I'm sitting at my desk, looking out the window, and I see beautiful yellow leaves falling of the trees, and I'm so grateful for it!
Hugs from California!

I love your little pilgrim! Thank you for the hopeful message, my friend. I agree that we need to concentrate on counting our blessings during this difficult and stressful time. One big joy is our president elect and his VP and all the smart and qualified people that will work with him to save our country.

A belated thanksgiving day to you and yours. We had a good day with a couple sweet people. I cooked a chuck steak in the instantpot and there was yummy cranberries and olives, rolls and homemade apple pie with whipped topping beater whipped....so delicious. We are doing good so far and am looking forward to getting a job, starting in Jan 2021, look then, as I need to keep my knee healing. Better than months ago! Thanks for your kindness! God bless!

That is one cute Pilgrim. Far too joyful for the stuffy original Pilgrims!

As difficult as this year has been, we are thankful for our many Good Things. We are still healthy and staying safe, and looking forward to better times.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I'm glad you were home with lots to be thankful for! Take care.
(BTW, Heather had an interesting article but she missed the mark by 100 years! Pres.George Washington upheld Thanksgiving in a proclamation -you can read it here. https://www.mountvernon.org/george-washington/the-first-president/thanksgiving/ !
