Monster Make Over

Although I am sure I need a monster of a make over, I had a Monster make over.  Remember bowling pin monster?
She was just lacking something and I couldn't put my finger on it.  You are all so lovely, and I bet you were trying to be nice and all about her, but lets be serious she was lacking something in the cute department.  My friend Lynda, who was visiting for the weekend, suggested a skirt.  Lynda is a non-knitting, non-crocheting, non-yarn loving friend.  After she suggested it, I knew she was right.
Not only did Monster number 3 need a skirt, she needed a granny skirt that ties in the back.  I think she is much happier now that she has some clothes on.  She also needed a nose to add some dimension to her long face.
She looks happier now, much more complete.

Leave it to a non-yarn loving friend to come up with a solution.  Lynda's husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer yesterday.  Not good news at all.  One of my knitting group friends has had her cancer return and she is not doing well.  And yesterday another friend of mine had a brain tumor removed in an 8 hour surgery.  Yikes, this has been a bad news weekend.

Hope the news is better where you are.

She is charming and somehow encouraging...just as she can change, monstrous illness can be transformed through healing <3

I think she looks adorable now! Not as long. She fits in with the rest. They needed a girl (girly girl) around. I will keep your friends in my prayers. What a bad news week for you!

Your friend is right, the skirt is just what she needed. I'm so sorry for all the bad news this week. I hope the week ends on a better note for all.

Thank you for your sweet comment. I love visiting your blog and will continue to do so. And, I'm already thinking my break will be temporary, so we'll continue to be blogging buds:)

I think that skirt was just the ticket for your girl monster, they are SO cute together! Maybe a monster would help your friends who are battling these illnesses? Even a guy would love one of those. Sorry I missed your last post.. we've been slammed with social obligations. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

That skirt and nose were just what she needed :) I agree with some of the others; monster gifts for your friends sounds like a brilliant idea! Homemade gifts like that clearly speak the love and care that the maker has towards the recipient. Everyone needs someone to help them smile during those hard times. Smiles all around!

I'm sorry to hear about your friends. Cancer is around us now. Maybe it's our age, but there are young people who are sick too (and they have their friends too). Maybe we are just more aware of the sick (I mean really sick) people.
Your lady-monster is cuter than before. :-)
